Leaders Insolution Refreshing Soothing Mask

I shared about some quick skincare boosts from Leaders Cosmetics, and now, here's another face mask review.

To give you a quick refresher, the skin on my face has always been oily, and the skin on my body is dry. That's why I have a thing for skincare and body care items, since the good ones make my skin look and feel more balanced.

About 2 weeks ago, my face became so dry and flaky. Whenever I smiled, I could feel my skin around my cheeks stretch. (Not good!) It may be due to the cooler rainy weather and/or I may not have been drinking enough water. It became hard for me to apply makeup because after I apply my sunblock then put on some foundation, it ends up a flaky mess. I then scoured my stash for something that will heal it, and hence I used Leaders Insolution Refreshing Soothing Mask.

There are different variants for every skin concern:

Leaders Insolution Age-defying Treatment Mask (P148)

This firming mask features unique ingredients like domestically grown bamboo to strengthen collagen and tighten loose skin. Chamomile flower extract, maple syrup, and marine mucin moisturize the skin and deliver a vibrant and firm finish.

Concerns: poor elasticity, fine lines, wrinkles, furrows, large pores

Leaders Insolution Brilliant Brightening Mask (P148)

Locally grown ingredients such as green tea extract and galactomyces work to combat age spots and dull and uneven skin tones. Chamomile flower extract, maple syrup, and marine mucin-rich moisturizing ingredients create moist, vivacious, bright skin.

Concerns: Dull complexion, uneven skin tones, blemishes, age spots

Leaders Insolution Moisturizing Aqua Mask (P148)

This moisturizing mask features unique ingredients like domestically grown bamboo and manuka honey extract. These ingredients work together with chamomile flower extract, maple syrup, and marine mucin to moisturize the skin and restore youthful vivacity.

Concerns: dryness, lack of moisture, dull and flaky skin, fine lines

Leaders Insolution Refreshing Soothing Mask (P148)

This calming mask features unique ingredients like domestically grown, skin-soothing, green tea extract and aloe extract. These ingredients work together with chamomile flower extract, maple syrup, and marine mucin, to effectively calm and soothe sensitive and irritated skin. Snail secretion filtrate helps to lighten acne scars and blemishes.

Concerns: irritation, acne, sun burns, redness, dryness

I used Leaders Insolution Refreshing Soothing Mask last week and loved how nice the fit of this mask is. It felt so relaxing that I felt sleepy while wearing it. After 20 minutes, I removed it to find my skin healed (thank you, snail secretion!), moisturized, with less (almost no) flakes, and no more redness. Now if only I can use it everyday...

But wait, I had an idea! :D I know this may seem gross or wrong for some, but it worked for me. What do you do to the leftover essence inside the pack? I used to just use it on my body and throw away all the excess. This time, I used the remaining essence (in lieu of my night cream) on my face for the next 2 nights ('til it was all gone) and woke up to the best skin ever. It's as if I never had dry, flaky skin. My skin was even-toned, and it felt really soft, smooth, and supple. Makeup held on better for a longer period of time. Just this week, my colleague commented on how smooth my skin is, too!

After: Makeup-free and healthy skin

It's been a while since I last had skin this clear and even, and I know for a fact that it's the mask essence working its magic. I'll continue doing this for as long as I can. As of press time, my sister is also trying out this trick using Leaders Insolution Brilliant Brightening Mask, and she likes the effect better than the other Korean masks she has tried.

I like Leaders Coconut Bio Mask (P148) for its cool, refreshing texture, and how it managed to make my pores smaller instantly. Leaders Insolution Refreshing Soothing Mask came in the classic mask sheet form, but its essence packs on a very powerful skincare boost which makes it a favorite of mine. Will definitely be repurchasing once I run out, since this stuff is totally legit!

Leaders Cosmetics is available in Festival Mall, Lucky Chinatown Mall, Zalora, and BeautyMNL. For more information, Like Leaders Philippines on Facebook and follow @LeadersPH on Twitter.

Love,
Helen

PS. I only use the mask essence at night, and during the day, I temporarily switched from my usual oil-free sunblock to my night moisturizer. This night moisturizer used to make my face look oily, but now it makes my skin ridiculously soft and supple and it works fine as my makeup base. To mattify, I use loose mineral powder foundation. Aside from my brow makeup, powder is now all I need to face the day. Good skincare = less makeup!

  1. I'm glad that the refreshing soothing mask made your skin feel and look better! I have that one but I haven't used it yet. Out of all the sheet masks I've used, the ones from Leaders Insolution are the most effective!

I usually just apply the excess essence on my arms and legs but what you did sounds good! I'll do that next time. Thanks for the tip! :D

  2. If I find a mask sheet that my skin absolutely loves, I always decant the remaining essence from the pouch into a small cosmetic jar, and then use it under my night cream/mask for two-to-three nights (depending on how much I could get) afterward. I don't think it's gross at all. :)

  3. Saving the leftover essence! Can totally relate to that and I don't think that's gross. I have yet to try this Leaders Insolution masks. Looks promising. Too bad I didn't hoard when BeautyMNL have them on sale last month.
