Cutie Haul from Daiso & Caboodle Box

As of last weekend, I've amassed a bevy of cute stuff which I am compelled to share with you all! :D

Every time I walk into Daiso, it's so hard to leave empty-handed! I'm no shopaholic, but they have a way of creating a need which you never knew you had, until you see their displays. (Anyone else who can relate to this?)

Daiso Hello Kitty Oil Blotting Sheets (P88.00 -> P25.00 each)

How cute are these! The paper sheets are printed with Hello Kitty or Little Twin Stars. And they're original Sanrio products - only on crazy sale! ♥ (Got this from Daiso in Robinsons Magnolia. The rest of the Daiso items below are from their Trinoma branch.)

Daiso Hello Kitty Hankies (P88.00 -> P25.00 each)

I couldn't resist getting these cute hankies for my niece! She loves Hello Kitty as much as I do. :3

Daiso Minnie Mouse Hair Clips (P88.00)

The ribbons "stand" when clipped. This one's also for my cute little niece! :D I love spoiling her with little surprises. There's also another version of this, Daisy Duck in pink and purple!

Daiso Apple Cutter & Mango Cutter (P88.00 each)

Because I loved how legit Daiso's Corn Cutter is, I promised myself to get their other "cutters". Haha! These are probably my favorite buys from Daiso. They're so freakin' amazing and fun to use! :D

4/13/15 UPDATE: As expected, the Apple Cutter is legit, amazing, and sooo fun to use. I don't like apples that much, but I am motivated to eat some just for the sake of using this Apple Cutter. ♥

The Mango Cutter also works, but the outcome isn't as perfect and smooth as the Apple Cutter, since it's hard to locate the position of the mango's seed. Need more practice!

Daiso Crystal Food Picks (P88.00 -> P44.00)

The cutest food picks I've seen! I justify my purchase by telling myself that I can use these picks with the fruits sliced by my apple and mango cutters. Harhar!

Daiso Spray Bottle (P88.00)

I wanted to buy a regular atomizer from Landmark to water my tiny Chrysanthemum flowers with, but this fancy bottle (which resembled the pumpkin turned carriage from Cinderella) looks way better on display. This one's also available in brown.

Tip: The first bottle I bought had a defective pump, but I had it replaced the next day. If you're planning to buy, better test it first in-store.

This cute little bucket of Chrysanthemum flowers were given to me last weekend by...secret. Haha :3 You know I don't talk much about my personal life here, but I'm happy. :D This one's sooo cute, just like having a tiny garden on the palm of your hand. What's unique is that the flowers close into buds when you water them, but re-open after a few hours. These are said to last for 10 years, as long as you water them twice a day. Guys, I'll update you on that, okay? Haha :D One thing's for sure though, they do last longer than conventional bouquets that wilt after 3 days.

My favorite online store of cute things, Caboodle Box, was at a bazaar last weekend in Trinoma. This weekend, they'll be at Blue Bay Walk! :D I got a set of pens for my little sister, and a set of stamps for me! The "For You" stamp was a GWP. Very useful, as recommended by Jenny (who owns the store). Her genius tip was to just use a brown paper bag as gift wrapper, and stamp on "For You", DONE! Saves your time, your money, and the environment as well. Go the extra mile by using the alphabet stamps to spell your recipient's name. :D

Last but not the least are some cute and unique finds from Landmark!

Panda Coin Purse

This one's also a cute gift. :3 It's white, and I want to keep it that way, so I'm delaying its use 'til my current coin purse gives up. Call me hoarder!

Coconut Delight Oreo (P40.00)

I spotted this roll of Coconut Delight Oreo from Landmark Supermarket at Trinoma. Yay or nay? :D

This ends my cute stuff haul post. Care to share with me which one your favorite is? :D

Helen

Gellish Manicure & Pedicure at Pink Parlour

Summer's here! Now's the best time to add a pop of color to your look! Sandals are a must-have this season, so better keep your tips and toes neat and tidy at all times.

If you love nail polish, but dislike how easily it chips...then you'll be thrilled with Pink Parlour's newest service: Gellish Manicure and Pedicure. Yup, they now carry gel nail polish application in their menu of services!

I dropped by Pink Parlour again at SM North EDSA The Block for some pampering. I just love the interiors, so chic!

Check out their nail polish wall! ♥

I chose ibd Just Gel Polish in Lucky Red for my nails.

This one comes in a strong 100% pure gel formula that cures quickly under either LED or UV light. It also protects natural nails with stronger, long-lasting wear.

Gotta love cherry red nails!

The procedure took around 1-1.5 hours for both my hands and feet. Regular polish stays on prettily on my hands for 3 days max before they start to chip. My Gellish Manicure lasted me 2 weeks before I couldn't stand the regrowth, so I had them removed then. My Gellish Pedicure lasted me 1 solid month though, and is still chip-free and going strong. Amazing! :D

Price:
  • P1,000.00 for Gellish Manicure (w/ removal)
  • P1,000.00 for Gellish Pedicure (w/ removal)

Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel - FREE at Sample Room!

Pond's has launched their most gentle product yet! While I don't think any product could beat the legendary Pond's Cold Cream, their newest facial wash quickly became a favorite of mine. Because hot summer months are fast approaching, we need a refreshing change to our skincare routine!

This season, Pond’s introduces a breakthrough to add to your beauty regimen, the Pond’s Pearl Cleansing Gel. It is the first whitening facial wash in gel formulation that cleanses your skin, making it whiter and fresher, without drying it.

The New Pond’s Pearl Cleansing Gel contains Pearl Essence known to whiten skin and an oxygenated formulation which refreshes and cleanses effectively without drying skin. Because of its mild formulation that locks in moisture, the Pond’s Pearl Cleansing Gel is suitable for sensitive skin.

The New Pond’s Pearl Cleansing Gel:

  • 1st Gel Format
  • Whitening
  • Non-Drying
  • Suitable for Sensitive Skin

With my fellow kikay girls during Sample Room's launch at Aracama.
Say hi to Gen-zel, Krissy, Tellie, and Celline! ♥

I've used this facial wash for almost 2 weeks so here's my review.

Star ingredients are Naicinamide and Hydrolyzed Pearl, both of which makes the skin look fairer with consistent use.

Notice the air bubbles inside the blob of gel? That's the oxygenated gel texture that's responsible for the refreshing feel upon contact with the skin.

Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel is one of the most gentle yet effective facial wash I've tried. It has Vitamin B3 (or Niacinamide) to whiten the skin from within, and pearl extract to work on the epidermal layer, "coating" the skin with luster. This yields to rosy white, radiant skin. It won't strip moisture off your skin and leave flakes and dry patches at all. It gets rid of dirt and oil without drying out my skin. In fact, my skin feels soft and supple afterwards. I'm loving the clear oxygenated gel texture - it has a mild refreshing sensation (but not the minty kind), and it subtly smells of roses. Best part of all, it's made for all skin types - even sensitive skin.

I've tried other variants of Pond's facial washes before (the one with beads, the one with no beads), but some variants would my face itch. (Sorry, Ponds!) Some say "hiyangan" ang Pond's - either you love it or you hate it. When they came out with Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel, it was the time I gave the brand another try, and I am so glad I did!

Try before you buy the new Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel for FREE over at Sample Room! Each sample even comes with a cute little jar of Pond's Dewy Rose Gel to complete your new refreshing skincare regimen. :D

Price:
  • P85.00 for 50g
  • P155.00 for 100g
Available in leading department stores, drugstores, supermarkets, groceries, and convenience stores nationwide.

Have you tried Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel? :)

Love,
Helen
