Me Factory Pig Collagen 3 Step Nose Pack

I don't usually incorporate nose packs into my skincare routine, but my colleague is an advocate of this particular skincare item. One day, she stared at my nose, and the next day she gave me this cute Me Factory Pig Collagen 3 Step Nose Pack which she got from Watsons. (Looked like I needed some help!) 😂

This is the third nose pack I've used in my life, but this one I really enjoyed doing since it's my first time to try a 3-step version of it. Hihi. 🐽 The first one I've tried was Tony Moly Egg Pore Nose Pack and the second was Cathy Doll White Heads Cleansing Black Clay Mask, which is not technically just a nose pack.

Before

I can see small dots all over my nose but I think I have more whiteheads than blackheads. Also, I'm not sure if they're blackheads or just huge pores. The only way to find out is to use this product!

Step 01: Pore Heating Sheet (15-20 minutes)

After washing your face, stick the sheet on your nose. Remove it after 15-20 minutes. Wipe out the melted wastes gently.

The material and feel of the serum in this packet resembled a regular sheet mask. There was no strong/detectable fragrance the entire time. I thought that they were just pulling my leg with regards to the "heating" claim, but my nose felt warm minutes after I used this. It helped open up my pores, so the gunk could come out easier on the next step.

Step 02: Blackhead Clear Sheet (10-15 minutes)

Apply enough water on the nose, then remove the clear film with dry hands. Attach the white sheet and wait for 10-15 minutes until the sheet is completely dry. Remove the dry sheet slowly from the edge.

Ahhh my favorite! Since my nose was prepped in Step 01, it was refreshingly not that painful to pull this away from my skin. It's either I have really high pain tolerance, or this one's the least painful among the 3 nose packs I've used before. The result was grossly satisfying. EWW! 🙈 Goodbye, blackheads and whiteheads! This nose pack is amazing!!! I love it already.

Step 03: Pore Tightening Sheet (5-10 minutes)

Attach the final sheet on your nose and leave it for 5-10 minutes. Tap the remaining essence to let it absorb into the skin.

After! 👃

My nose looks and feels so smooth!!! This Pig Collagen Nose Pack from Me Factory is legit. I still had a few stubborn whiteheads left, but it was able to take out a lot, I didn't even know I had that many. Ugh 😵 Now I'm tempted to use it where my face feels rough, but I'm not sure if I can really do that. I will definitely repurchase! 👍

Price: approximately P150-P200 (not sure of the exact price)
Available at Watsons
Also available at ph.althea.kr for only P80! 🐽

Are you also fond of nose packs? Which one can you recommend? 💝

Love,
Helen

SilkyGirl Matte Junkie Lip Cream

Stay MATTELY in love with SilkyGirl's new Matte Junkie Lip Creams! 💋

My previous SilkyGirl review was about the Matte Fever Lipcolor Balm, and now we have their liquid lipsticks! Most, if not all, beauty brands have their own version of liquid lipsticks nowadays, and I'm glad SilkyGirl came out with theirs as well. Knowing the brand, it's bound to be wearable and affordable.

This kissproof and transfer resistant lipcolor applies like a liquid lipstick that dries to a matte finish. It stays on your lips through day and night activities requiring minimal touch-ups. Available in 5 rich and highly pigmented shades; 01 Retro, 02 Glamour, 03 Rebel, 04 Vintage and 05 Vixen. Introducing 4 new shades; 06 Darling, 07 Dolly, 08 Artsy and 09 Rouge to complete your matte looks!

  • Lightweight
  • Fragrance-free
  • Carmine-free
  • Paraben-free
  • Not tested on animals

I have with me the first 5 shades that was released, and I'm not sure if we already have the 4 new shades here in the Philippines. I love that it's a mix of nude and vivid shades! The packaging is really simple and straightforward. Each tube contains 5.8ml worth of product, and I like how lightweight and slim each tube is - no unnecessary packaging "illusions" or bulk to make it seem to have more product in it.

Also, you can see the ingredients and manufacturing date on the plastic shrink wrap. (I'm taking note of the dates via this blog post, since I threw the wrappers away after opening. 😉) Based on the ingredients, these lippies contains evening primrose oil, shea butter extract, and argan oil. 👍

It comes with a regular doe foot applicator.

Swatches:

01 Retro, 02 Glamour, 03 Rebel, 04 Vintage, 05 Vixen

01 Retro

02 Glamour

03 Rebel

04 Vintage

05 Vixen

SilkyGirl Matte Junkie Lip Cream goes on initially shiny but dries down to a completely matte finish in seconds. Once it sets, it's totally budge-proof - no transferring to cups, ever. I like how it doesn't enhance my lip lines unlike other matte liquid lipsticks I've tried. On my arm, the formula goes on smoothly, but it's quite tricky to get it to spread evenly on my lips. The formula is a bit on the watery side, and while it's pigmented enough, the application can get a bit streaky so you'd have to act fast. (I had a hard time with shade 02 Glamour, but the rest were easier to work with.)

My favorites from this range are 04 Vintage and 01 Retro. These two shades almost look similar on the tube, but 01 Retro is orange-brown, and 04 Vintage is pink-brown (which makes it the perfect everyday shade). Both shades are very flattering on my pale skin! 😍

Up next are the two bright shades: 05 Vixen has a unique red-orange shade that goes on nicely against my pale skin. I'm liking the contrast, but I would have loved it more if it had a blue base. Yellow-based lipsticks make my teeth look more yellow than it already is. 03 Rebel should be named 03 Barbie instead. It's a bright bubblegum pink shade, and it's also a keeper.

I didn't like shade 02 Glamour. It's a cutesy nude pink on the tube, but peachy when worn. It has bright peachy tones, but it still managed to look pale on my lips. It could work for other skin tones though.

SilkyGirl Matte Junkie Lip Cream is indeed long-lasting, and it will only come off with an oil-based makeup remover. It's nice to not have to retouch often. 😗

05 Vixen, 04 Vintage, 03 Rebel, 02 Glamour, 01 Retro
Loving the contrast of 05 Vixen against my skin 💋

Price: P299 -> P249
Available at Landmark, Cash & Carry, and selected Robinsons Department Stores (Galleria, Metroeast, Tutuban, and Cebu)

State of My Skin Update: 6th Session at Beauty Lab Whitening

What would I give to have free weekends like this? 💖

OT days are here! Just yesterday, I clocked in 13 hours at work, and that's just the start of our 3-month long overtime season at work. (Bye for the meantime, blogger events!) Today, I'm making the most of my weekend by just resting at home and writing.

Last weekend, I went to Beauty Lab Whitening again for my 6th session of the Whitening Solution Full Body Treatment. (I've done an extensive, super detailed review of it which you can backread here.) This time, I came back because my skin got badly sunburned from my daily commute. My work schedule used to start at 8AM, now it starts at 11AM so I have to go through a heat wave just to get to work. My face, arms, and especially my feet became noticeably darker than the rest of my body. Time to go to Beauty Lab Whitening again! 😍

My teammates were calling my feet choco na gatas (AKA chocolate milk) because I used to be really fair, and now the parts where my slacks and ballet flats can't cover is brown. 😞 This time I was beyond excited to book an appointment at Beauty Lab Whitening, and I arrived early on a Saturday morning. We went straight to business. I don't wear makeup anymore when I'm going here since I'll be removing it anyway. I changed into a bathrobe and disposable undies and slippers. My therapist proceeded to exfoliate my body and face with a gentle volcanic ash pack while I was lying down in the treatment room. This felt really good! Somewhat like a light massage for my aching muscles. When the scrub was done, I showered it off and applied preconditioning ointment (for whitening) before entering the R-630 Collagen Light Facility. (I made sure to be generous with applying the whitening ointment, especially on my feet.)

I stayed inside this giant "fridge" for 15 minutes (max). I like to think of this one as a reverse tanning bed. Instead of damaging your skin and giving you a tan, this one aids your cells in producing collagen, and it also whitens your skin.

I actually had 2 sessions spaced a week apart, and my skin has indeed lightened. I usually don't notice these things myself, but I went shopping hours after my treatment, and was asked by a salesperson in the store I just visited over a week ago prior to my treatment on what I did to my skin. Pantay yung pagkaputi (evenly white) was how she described it, and asked if she could touch my arm. LOL (Sure! Haha) My feet have drastically improved, too! The "great divide" isn't too evident, so now it's not choco na gatas, but more of a light mocha na gatas. A few more sessions will make the completely disappear, that I'm sure of. (This treatment is not magic, but it does work.) My skin feels really soft now, so I'm really pleased with the results! 😍 Since these sessions are pricey, do back it up with daily SPF! I'm currently being a good girl and using a non-sticky whitening sunscreen all over the exposed parts of my body during my daily commute so my treatments aren't in vain. I want to preserve that GLOW!

I took home a fresh bottle of Suaviss Brilliant Boosting Essence with me after the treatment that day. During my treatments, they use Suaviss products (their own brand of organic skincare) on me and they work so well, I want to take them all home! 💛

Suaviss Brilliant Boosting Essence (P2,499 -> currently on sale at P1,999)

You may have seen this on my Suaviss skincare haul post a few months back. I'm liking this new and improved version of their essence. A minimal change they did on the packaging was the sticker label's color, from yellow to lilac. I found that the formula has changed a bit, too. From previously watery to now like a watery gel (but still not sticky) form. My skin absorbs this product quickly, so I can layer on my anti-acne moisturizer on top of it.

Ingredients

Manufacturing and expiry date stamped at the base of the bottle

I use this under my moisturizer at night, and I always wake up to soft and plump skin. It also makes my skin look well-rested, despite lack of sleep. Will continue to use this consistently as maintenance. 👌 (Anybody wants an update skincare routine post?) 😊

If you want to try their services, just mention the code BLWHELEN10 and enjoy a 10% discount on everything - be it a session, an entire package, or even their skincare products! Call 546-4601 to book your appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome. They're open everyday from 10AM to 10PM.

Oishi Snacktacular 2017 (SO FUN!!!)

Today, I took a field trip to Festival Mall to attend Oishi Snacktacular 2017. (Field trip talaga because I live in the North! Haha) I've seen them host this kind of event in Trinoma and SM MOA before, and now it's my first time to experience it! SO EXCITED! 😁

Selfie with my mega Oishi loot! Will let you know how I got them! 😉

The venue is at 2L Carousel Court, Festival Mall. 🎠 You can drop by from July 28 to 30, 2017. Oishi has prepared 5 FUN booths you can enjoy. Entrance is free, but there is a minimal fee if you want to participate in the activities. Guys, let me just say, it's worth it!

Snack Shack is on the left side of the venue

Snack Catcher and O-Twirl are in the middle

Make Your Own Snack and Cuckoo Blaster are on the right side of the venue

My first stop was Snack Shack (P295), where you get to fill your Oishi 2 ft. giant pack in 60 seconds. Here, I get to pick exactly what I want, so majority of what I hoarded were cereals (Choco Flakes and Corn Flakes), Wafu, and Sponge Crunch - my favorites! (Hala! Puro sweets. Haha) Zero regrets, because the chips I weren't able to get within 60 seconds, I still got via the magical Snack Catcher. YAY! Actually, my bag was already full before the 60 seconds was up. Just make sure your pack can be (velcro) sealed, or else you'd have to deduct until everything fits.

Snack Catcher (P200) is the main attraction of the event. Imagine diving into a pool of Oishi snacks! I'm always happy when I'm being surrounded by food (takaw, I know), hence my love for grocery trips, but it was taken to a whole new level via the Snack Catcher. It's an experience you have to try. Promise! Actually, I was initially scared. When the harness lifted me up and started moving, I forgot all the tips I read. (Naks, nagresearch talaga ako kagabi!) I just went for it and hugged my snacks tightly. I was able to grab 47 packs! The record by the time I left the venue was 82. Woah! 🎇

Also, do not miss out on the Cuckoo Blaster (P120 per person). I paired up with my NFF Karen and tried to catch as many ball as possible to win Oishi drinks. We got a total of 15 balls and got 3 drinks each. I still can't get over the costume though. So cute! Haha 😂

There are 2 snack booths in the venue. Saan aabot ang 20 pesos mo?

I went to the Make Your Own Snack (P20) booth where you can combine different Oishi chips plus dips to create your own special snack.

Ridges Onion & Garlic + Panchos Nacho Cheese + Cheese Dip 😍

And the perfect way to cap off your fun day is to enjoy Oishi Choco Chug and Tea Matchi as soft serve ice cream with 2 toppings for only P20 at the O-Twirl booth! Ang mura! 😮

Tea Matchi Matcha Ice Cream + Wafu + Sponge Crunch
YUMMY! 🍦

If you were able to visit all 5 booths and post about the event in social media (with the hashtag #OishiSnacktacular), you get a cute shirt for free as souvenir. (Check the design at the background. Cute diba!) 💖

Thank you very much for the FUN day, Oishi! This experience is unforgettable, and I can't wait to do it again next year! 😍 (Sa North naman ulit, please! Hihi)
