A Tasty Twist: Taco Bell Gordita Supreme

Taco Bell puts a tasty twist to your favorite taco with their newest offering - Gordita Supreme! I've been a fan of Taco Bell for the longest time, and my ultimate favorite item from their menu is the Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes - think potato cubes, sour cream, and nacho cheese sauce. Simple but so good! Good thing I'm just a stone throw away from their Trinoma branch. I think I'll drop by again tomorrow! :D

 

The launch was held at Taco Bell's newly renovated store at Gateway Mall (G/F). It certainly had a very modern makeover, and is the nicest Taco Bell branch I've seen. It's the first Live Más concept store in Asia. Live Más means Live More, and it shows us the brand's commitment to give its customers more in terms of value, quality, and dining experience.

I fondly recounted how my Spanish teacher explained to us the word gordita. Gorda is a feminine word that means fat. But if you are to refer to a person you know or have a relation with (for example, your family member or friend), you say gordita to add a touch of care, like un poco gordita = a bit chubby. Hihi :D
 

It was fun to watch the crew whip up our Gordita Supreme treats with quick hands! And now, the moment of truth...

 

This mouth-watering treat is shaped and stuffed like your favorite taco but it's not your typical taco! Made with seasoned beef, fresh shredded lettuce, cool sour cream and diced tomatoes all cradled inside a warm pillowy flatbread, Gordita Supreme presents taco lovers with a tasty twist to their everyday favorite.

 

The Taco Bell Gordita Supreme is available at P99 a la carte. You can mix it with nachos and a 16oz drink for P149.
 

I love the new Gordita Supreme. I honestly prefer soft taco and find the crispy version messy to eat (*peace* haha), so the flatbread in this one is such a treat for me! The fillings have a terrific, flavorful blend. I suggest ordering the meal instead of a la carte, because the BBQ nacho chips are delicious, too! (Tip: You can put the nachos inside the Gordita Supreme for an added crunch!) :D
