The Body Shop Peppermint Smoothing Pumice Foot Scrub

People with naturally dry skin tend to have cracked heels, and wearing open or thin-soled shoes can aggravate the condition. I personally prefer wearing closed shoes when I go out (mainly because I do not want to go home with dirty feet), but there are times when I go out wearing flip flops or sandals, and when I do so for a few days, my feet starts to dry and I see little cracks forming on my heels. Nooo! :(

Even if I put on a generous amount of moisturizer on my feet at night, I think it's not enough. I have yet to exfoliate my feet and remove the dirt that got trapped in the small cracks. This is when foot scrubs come to the picture!

What I have is the cute travel-sized version (15ml), which comes in sets of the Peppermint range. A parent-sized tub of this contains 100ml.

The Body Shop's Peppermint Smoothing Pumice Foot Scrub feels like jelly when you scoop some of it out of its container. It has a rough and very grainy texture (because of the crushed pumice stone used). Unlike the body scrubs of The Body Shop wherein the salt and sugar particles melt when you scrub it on your body, this foot scrub's texture feels like sand the whole time it was used. It has a strong and fresh peppermint scent, and it leaves a cooling sensation on your feet. It does its job excellently in exfoliating dead skin cells, making it easier to for the skin to absorb moisturizer. After washing this off, my feet looked fairer (because of the layer of dead skin cells removed) and felt soft and smooth! I can't promise that this scrub will make cracked heels disappear after one use, but I can say that my cracked heels has met its match. I'll use this several times a week until I get soft, baby feet! Haha! Just remember to always moisturize after exfoliating! :)
