SILKYGIRL is quite an underrated cosmetics brand here in the Philippines. Beneath their simple packaging are formulations that actually work. Today's review is an affordable, cruelty-free alternative to MAC Powder Kiss and Maybelline Powder Mattes.

Swatches:
Pros:
💋 Not tested on animals 🐰
💋 Contains NO parabens and carmine (red pigment from crushed bugs)
💋 Contains avocado oil, chamomile, and aloe vera extract so it's not drying
💋 Completely matte finish - zero shine
💋 Fragrance-free
💋 Click to open packaging (very unique)
💋 Sealed upon purchase, with ingredients list and manufacturing date indicated on the shrink wrap
💋 Comes in 5 very wearable shades
Cons:
❌ 1 out of 5 of my lipsticks had defective packaging (won't lock)
❌ Shade range is a bit safe, not that diverse
Price: P350 (but goes on sale down to P175)
My personal favorite is 05 Rosewood for a flattering nude shade that doesn't wash out my light skin, while 03 Mulberry is a pink suits my skin without looking too bright.
