Human Nature's hair care products are responsible for my "wavy hair love", but I admit I've strayed for quite a while. (I couldn't help it, there are too many nice hair care products to try!) Now, I'm back again trying out a new variant from their natural strengthening hair care range.
Human Nature Natural Strengthening Shampoo & Conditioner in Cool Peppermint
The shampoo was given to me as a gift last Christmas. Upon receiving it, I immediately ordered the matching conditioner. (They just have to go in pairs, huh?) I really have no second thoughts getting it in the biggest size, since I've already tried other variants, and I trust that the brand will deliver.
Human Nature Natural Strengthening Shampoo in Cool Peppermint

Available in Cool Peppermint and Soothing Aloe scents
This shampoo has no sulfates, PEGs, parabens, synthetic fragrances, silicones, or other harmful chemicals.
The texture of this shampoo is a creamy, translucent white. It does not foam up abundantly, but I am totally fine with that. It's able to remove dirt and oil and make my hair feel so fresh and clean afterwards. However, this shampoo doesn't give me that soft rinse, as I feel my all hair tangled up upon rinsing. Don't get me wrong though, this one doesn't dry out my hair, but still, conditioner is required.
Human Nature Natural Strengthening Conditioner in Cool Peppermint
Give yourself a double dose of strength with our Natural Strengthening Conditioner in tandem with our Natural Strengthening Shampoo.
Chemical-laden conditioners can make your hair smooth and shiny now, but years of use can actually do more harm than good to your locks. Our Natural Strengthening Conditioner is 100% free from harmful chemicals and infused with hydrolyzed wheat protein that helps fortify hair strands to reduce both breakage and hair fall. A rich fusion of sunflower, avocado and soybean oil keeps your hair healthy, soft, and shiny with less tangles to worry about.
Also available in Soothing Aloe
After shampooing, I use this conditioner to moisturize my hair and prevent frizz. (Dry hair = frizzy hair) This conditioner has a very light texture that is not oily at all, but it manages to give my hair that soft rinse every time. It has no silicones, parabens, PEGs, and synthetic fragrances to boot.
As for the scent, the shampoo smells minty, while the conditioner has a more subtle scent. Okay, my love for anything peppermint might really seem biased, but this one really smells fresh and good. It reminds me of Christmas! However, the scent doesn't really linger after you bathe, which is understandable since both the shampoo and conditioner have no synthetic fragrances. For example, whenever I commute to work, my hair won't smell as great anymore once I've reached the office.
If you think I don't like this product as much. NO! I still love it. I've been using this for months, and my hair color still looks fine (and not brassy). My wavy hair sometimes even look curlier (on extra good hair days). My waves are always soft and bouncy. I think Human Nature has improved the quality of their hair care range, as I didn't get any scalp itch from the time I shifted from my other shampoo to this.
The only con for me I guess is the short shelf life of the products, only roughly a year, since it doesn't contain any harmful chemical preservatives. I hope to finish up these giant bottles before September 2014.
