James Morrison: The Awakening World Tour

Last week, I had the wonderful opportunity to watch James Morrison live in Manila at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. It's the first time the English singer-songwriter-musician to serenade his Filipino fans. James Morrison is currently on tour to promote his third album, "The Awakening".

I have some of his more popular songs like "You Give Me Something" and "Broken Strings" memorized, and I bet you know these by heart, too! But going to this concert turned me into an instant fan - his songs are filled with raw emotion.

I loved how James Morrison connected with the audience. You'd feel as though he were singing the songs for you only.

"Up" and "One Life" are currently on repeat in my playlist.

You say the more you think
You know what's right
The less you do
What you feel inside
So I won't pretend that I always know
I just follow my heart wherever it goes
(from "One Life")

I love James Morrison because his voice is raspy but smooth at silk at the same time; his songs we can relate to through real life experiences.

 Congratulations with the successful show!

That day, I also got to bond with fellow bloggers Hazel, Ria, and Rovie!

Thank you, The Araneta Center and Ms. Kath, for the invite!

The Smart Araneta Coliseum, also known as the Big Dome, is home to top music acts like Black Eyed Peas, Maroon 5, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Lifehouse, and Incubus. With over 250 events a year, the Big Dome is definitely the place to be!

Also, watch out as the Big Dome delves into their EXTREME TRANSFORMATION soon!

The extreme transformation of the Big Dome begins with the majestic fa├žade and interiors of the new Green Gate.

The Green Gate welcomes everyone to state –of-the-art features starting with the larger entrance, improved kiosks for retail, scanners at the turnstiles for quicker and more efficient audience entry, and a concourse with LED signages, climate controlled space and video systems.

There will be new flooring, ceilings, lighting and seats for viewer comfort. There will also be more rest rooms with newer features.

The conveniences of parking plus access points to the shopping and dining options in and outside the coliseum.

Through the new parking building’s second and third levels, customers can enter the coliseum and to their respective sections with ease. There will be drop off points at the new Green Gate. The South Gate entrance will likewise be restored allowing access to the coliseum.

One can also find a whole lot of dining and shopping options before and after the coliseum events because escalators from the Big Dome will transport the customers to the award-winning Gateway Mall and the upcoming Gateway Tower.

This makeover is definitely something to look forward to, as I personally love going to The Araneta Center because it's so accessible from my place - just a bus or MRT ride away. :)

Love,
Helen
