The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask Sachet

If you have dropped by The Body Shop recently, you may have spotted new goodies displayed near the counters - new face masks sachets! These new additions to the well loved Tea Tree, Seaweed, and Vitamin E skincare ranges are affordably priced at just P95.00.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask Sachet (P95.00)
This instantly cooling face mask cleanses, soothes and refreshes the skin. It helps remove impurities, absorbs excess oil and soothes skin.

Ingredients:

How to Use:
  • Simply use once or twice weekly after cleansing. Smooth a thick layer onto the face and neck avoiding the lip and eye area, using fingertips. Leave for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with clean water. Mask does not dry.

My skin is misbehaving lately and whiteheads/small pimples keep popping up on my cheek area, which prompted me to try this product to see if it would really work. I used this last night, and I couldn't wait any longer to share with you my thoughts on this product.

Pros:
  • A sachet is good enough for 1-2 uses.
  • The mask has a mild scent.
  • It has a creamy texture that spreads easily on the skin, and does not drip.
  • The mask contains menthol and gives cooling sensation upon application. What's strange but nice is that it also manages to make my skin feel warm at the same time, like my pores are being opened up.
  • It contains kaolin, which absorbs oil and draws out impurities from the skin.
  • It has tea tree leaf oil to treat blemished skin.
  • It's non-drying.
  • It comes in a convenient sachet, which keeps the product fresh compared to using one in a tub (which is prone to contamination or expiring even before you get to finish it).

After using this mask, my skin looked calmed down. Even if this is a clay mask that's meant to zap zits, it doesn't dry out my skin one bit. In fact, my skin felt soft and looked deeply cleansed afterwards. Pores looked more refined as well. I had 2 whiteheads that looked reddish/inflamed, and will soon be pimples if I didn't do anything about it, but when I used this mask last night, the soon-to-be pimples were stopped in its tracks. Other existing whiteheads shrank a bit too, and aren't too obvious today compared to yesterday. Pretty amazing stuff!

Cons:
  • Even if this range of face mask sachets is affordable, I can get a 5ml mask sample from Kiehl's for free. This one from The Body Shop is 6ml, and this size could pass for a freebie sample from other high-end brands.

Aside from that single con, I can't think of any other thing. My skin loves the Tea Tree Face Mask.

Price: P95.00
Will I repurchase? Yes. I'm planning to make this a weekly thing, or when my skin is acting up whenever it's that time of the month.
Available in all The Body Shop stores nationwide.

Also available:

The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask (P95.00)

    1. I'm not sure if this would be gentle enough for sensitive skin, since I have very oily skin. But one thing I am sure of is that this one doesn't dry out the skin.

      Followed you via GFC, Patricia!

    1. Aww. Sad to hear that you have allergies with TBS products. These are newly released. I think they sold these in tubs before they launched sachets. :)

  6. The first time I tried Tea Tree Face Mask I liked it, although it says it is non-drying I did feel like it was drying, not completely but to some degree.
