Yosi Samra Media Launch

I love the boost (literally) that wearing high heels give, especially when I'm at the office or attending events. But then, I know I can't wear them forever. My feet need to relax, too! On usual days, you'd see me in casual flats all the time. I love them because they're comfy, and their practically the best footwear of choice for those who commute (like me!).

Last week, I attended the exclusive Philippine media launch of the cult favorite fashion brand, Yosi Samra. The event was held at the Terraz Function Rooms of the Zuellig Building in Makati.

Lunch was served before the event program officially started, and since I arrived super early, I was able to take lots of photos.

The event was hosted by Ms. Tessa Prieto-Valdes, who was super glam, candid, and funny. We learned lots of trivia about the brand. For example, aside from being a New York-based brand, Yosi Samra is actually an Israeli man who belonged to a family of shoemakers. Yosi launched his first collection way back in 2009, which became an instant hit! Yosi Samra flats finally made its way to the Philippines last 2011.

Now, it's time for some flats appreciation!

Yosi grew up in his father's factory, spending countless hours with him and absorbing the fine art of shoemaking. Yosi brings his impressive family heritage of footwear design to his own collection.

Each pair of Yosi Samra is crafted to not only be stylish, but supremely snug. The sole cushioning assures ultimate comfort, the folding elastic band creates a secure fit, and the leather is culled from the best materials (real cow leather, pig skin, kid suede, sheepskin, nubuck, and calfskin) to give you a pair that’s a second-skin sexy fit.

Say hello to my new shoes! :D I am in love with my bright, sparkly, and velvety pair of Yosi Samra Velvet Cap Toes! It's in my favorite color, too! Velvet and glitters scream holiday, but I'd wear it any day! I'm almost always in black and white, so this one is just perfect to add a pop of color to my basic outfits. The flats-loving girl in me says that this pair deserves a separate post of its own. Even my flats-abhorring sister (who has referred to all flats as "kung fu shoes") found this particular style of Yosi Samra Samara flats beautiful, tried it on, and asked me where she could buy a pair of her own. Now that's really something.
