Happy List: Christmassy Things I Saw at Landers

Off topic, I just found out that Blogspot now has Emojis. Cute! πŸŽ„

Yesterday, I did a grocery run with Panda and Desi at Landers Balintawak (which is surprisingly walking distance from my house). So to brands who hold events in Makati or Fort, you can see how much I love you when I decide to show up. πŸ˜‰

I spotted a lot of "Christmassy" things, so this can serve as your cheat sheet when you're looking for Christmas gifts on your next visit to Landers. (Their branch in Otis is now open, so you don't have to go all the way to Quezon City if you live in Manila.) I'll include the prices for your reference. πŸŽ… And no, this post won't have anything to do with Christmas lights, Christmas balls, ham, queso de bola, and fruitcake. Everything here is Helen approved! 😊

1. Hershey's Kisses Mint Truffle (P300) 🍫

OMG! They're back! I've been buying this every year since I first saw it way back 2009! And it's the first time they've changed their packaging from this:

Both versions look fine with me, but I remember them being cheaper last year, like at around P230 per pack in other supermarkets. I guess I'll have to wait first for other places to carry this item before buying. πŸ˜€ (As you can see, I really scout for minty things.)

But if you can't wait, by all means, go hoard! πŸ™Š They have a LOT of stocks on the shelves as of yesterday.

2. Crayola Gingerbread House Kit (P700)

This one's so cute! No baking required. Haha! I want to give this to my niece, but I think I'm the one who really wants it.

3. Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa Mix in Mint Chocolate (6 Envelopes) (P247) ☕

I've seen this last year, and it's still so cute! The tin is making it expensive, though. I just want my choco mint fix, please.

4. Owl White Coffee Peppermint (8 Sachets) (P240) ⛄

When I saw this, I forgot I even wanted the cute box of Swiss Miss Mint Chocolate because this one's a MUSIC BOX! 🎢

LOOK! :D It's legit! Now I don't even know hot the White Coffee Peppermint tastes like, but you can never go wrong with peppermint. ;)

5. Welch's Limited Edition Mocktail (P190) 🍸

Last year's holiday edition was just their red and white sparkling juice in festive packaging at S&R (which I regretted not getting, and ended up buying the plain one since that was the only one available at Landmark). This year's sparkling mocktails come in 4 flavors, and I want to try ALL of them: Sangria, Mango Bellini, PiΓ±a Colada, and Strawberry Daiquiri. I was able to try Strawberry Daiquiri and it was good! We even got to mix it with a mango drink at the cafe, and it was amazing!

6. Ferrero Rocher (in holiday packaging)

Ferrero Rocher is a gift that's given on any and every occasion. I am not fond of nuts, but I'd take Ferrero Rocher any day. Sarap eh! Ang mahal lang. They come up with very classy packaging. The gift box is around P240, and the Christmas tree is around P670 if I remember it correctly.

The next ones aren't exactly Christmas-themed, but the caught my attention as well and you can certainly give them as gifts, too.

7. Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape (P60)

These are so nostalgic! Imagine, 6 feet of sugary fun. My teeth says no, but my heart says yes! I still think that the Awesome Original flavor is the best. The green one in Sour Green Apple comes in a glittery packaging.

8. Altoids Peppermint Tin (P100) & Ice Breakers in Wintergreen and Coolmint (P110)

You might stop buying these from Candy Corner, they're cheaper here!

9. Hoegaarden Rosée 750ml (P400) 🌹

Me encanta! Pink beer! 😍 I don't know if it's good, but I want to try the individual can first before getting this big bottle. I didn't see it in stock though!

10. Herbs 🌿

Merry Christmas! From this angle, the display reminds me of a skinny Christmas tree. Each pot of herb costs P85. It's my dream to have a garden of herbs, vegetables, and even fruits so I can just pick some outside and cook. For now, this will do. πŸ˜› I think my Mom would like this very much! How convenient it would be for cooking. πŸ‘

Hope you enjoyed this Happy List! πŸ’– Which one is your favorite?

Happy List II: "Tastes Like Christmas!" Edition

Time for another Happy List! This time, it's all about PEPPERMINT-flavored things. Chocolate, ice cream, you name it... as long as it's minty, I love it. Haha :D

1. Meiji Apollo Feel Mint Chocolate

What we have here in the Philippines is the strawberry-flavored one. Would you believe, when I was a kid, a blueberry-flavored one existed, too? :D

This box of Meiji Apollo Feel Mint Chocolate came all the way from Hong Kong. (Thanks, Panda!) :3 The foil pack feels a bit sad though, since you can't reseal it.

It looks like green tea, but no! It's mint. ❤ The taste reminds me of Andes Mint Parfait Thins, only smoother and more "melty".

2. Lord Stow's Bakery Peppermint Brownies

If I were to bake my dream brownie, THIS would be it. At first glace, all you see is a regular brownie, but when you bite it, you'll immediately have a taste of Christmas with its strong minty kick. It's balanced by the thick, moist, and oh so fudgy chocolate. I can imagine this being served ala mode with... (see #3 NOW!)

3. Big Scoop Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

I originally wanted to keep this as a secret, because you might hoard when you find out and leave no stock for me. Haha! I've always seen mint ice cream as a rare and special flavor. It's always sold expensively per scoop at malls. Until I found my dear Big Scoop.

A pint of this Mint Chocolate Chip goodness is just priced at P95. I'm lemming on the HUGE 2 gallon tub at just P400+. You can purchase from Beyond The Flavors Ice Cream House in Banawe.

4. Dippin' Dots Mint Chocolate Flavored Ice Cream

Who knew Dippin' Dots had ice cream pouches, too? Now if only they had dry ice to go with it, I would have bought home all flavors.

These packets also come in other flavors such as Banana Split (!), Cotton Candy, etc. Each packet is reasonably priced at P100.

5. Pretty Green Slush from Sandwicheese!

Sandwicheese! by Banapple is located just beside Banapple at Sky Garden, SM The Block. I love their Chicken Pesto Mozza Sandwicheese and this refreshing drink! This Pretty Green Slush is a blend of sweet calamansi, mint, and brewed tea.

Fellow mint lovers, please let me know you exist. :D

Love,
Helen

Lucky Citrine's Happy List I

Cute stuff and sweets never fail to make my day, thus inspiring me to create my own Happy List! :D

1. Panda room slippers

From who else but my panda! Hihi :3 Now I have comfy and warm room slippers. Thank you! :>

2. McDonald's Hello Kitty Bubbly World Plush Toys

Saw these in McDonald's at Bangkok. Wish I bought ALL of them as they're not available in the Philippines! I also spotted some cutesy Hello Kitty body wash and lotions at Zalora, which will definitely add a pop of color to our bathroom. :3

3. Etude House Etti Block Calendar

Etude House gave this as a GWP in the previous months. Imagine not having to buy any other desk calendar ever again! This one's like lego blocks you have to assemble each month. Sooo cute!

Hello, May 2015!

4. Etude House Sunprise Natural Corrector SPF 50+ PA+++

May this girly sunblock inspire me to use it everyday in this crazy summer heat. Etude House Sunprise range can be use for both face and body. The Natural Corrector doubles as a makeup base, too!

5. Haitai Choco Kit & Meiji Strawberry Apollo Choco Stick

I seem to have an obsession for Meiji Apollo. :3 In Japan, they even have it in mint! *Faints* :D I got both of these from Bangkok as well. The Haitai Choco Kit looks so fun to make. Meiji Apollo also comes in a choco lollipop form. ♥

6. Made In Candy Jar of Helen :D

I still haven't gotten over our candy making experience at Made In Candy. Aside from that, they gifted me with a personalized big jar of candies. So sweet! :> Part of me wants to keep this forever, but they'll only keep for 6 months. So torn. Haha!

Hope you liked my very first Happy List! ;) What's your favorite item from here?

Love,
Helen
