Belo Essentials AcnePro 3-Step Clear Skin System

One local brand I trust for my skincare needs is Belo Essentials. Okay, this one's not even a sponsored post! I'm just ravinggg. :D

Ever since I tried their Belo SunExpert Face Cover SPF 40 (which I'm currently on my 4th bottle), I know this brand and my skin were a match. For once, a sunblock that didn't break me out! I also loved the Belo SunExpert Transparent Mist SPF 50, and the Belo Essentials Intensive Whitening Bar - my buddies during and after travel to bring back my skin tone.

A few months back, Belo Essentials launched the AcnePro range of products consisting of a facial wash, toner, and spot treatment. My skin's not that problematic, but I do breakout sometimes, so once again, I got all excited. Its active ingredient is purified bee venom - so unique! My skin's used to salicylic acid, so I'm curious on whether this will work for me.

After trying the AcnePro range for about a month, here's my review!

Belo Essentials AcnePro Pimple Fighting Gel Face Wash

About the product:

Ingredients:

Spotted: Bee venom to treat mild to moderate acne, niacinamide (or vitamin B3) to brighten the skin, and chamomile extract to calm the skin.

Swatch:

The cleanser comes in a gel (or jelly) texture that foams up just a bit. The texture is light and it works great for oily/acne prone skin. It rids my skin of all traces of dirt and oil, but it doesn't leave my skin dry. My skin feels so fresh after every wash. The only thing I don't like about it is the scent - too floral for my liking. If only this one's unscented, it would be perfect for me.

Price: P99.75 (50ml)

Belo Essentials AcnePro Treatment Toner

About the product:

Ingredients:

Spotted: Bee venom, niacinamide, witch hazel water (to treat skin irritation), and chamomile.

Even with its low price, had high hopes for this toner - on whether it could replace my HG salicylic acid toner from another brand. This toner is alcohol-based, but it's not to drying (for my oily skin). It stings just a bit where I have broken skin (from picking pimples), but it does the job well when it comes to removing left-over dirt left behind by the cleanser. The scent is mild, which is a very good thing. I like to use this on normal days to maintain my skin's clear state, but on the days that I break out (with bigger pimples), I go back to salicylic acid for the meantime (for faster results).

Price: P79.75 (60ml)

Belo Essentials AcnePro Pimple Gel

About the product:

Ingredients:

Because I always read the labels of the products I use, I realized that aside from the usual bee venom-niacinamide-chamomile combo that all products from the AcnePro range have, this Pimple Gel contains same 7 skin brightening ingredients such as Celeteque Brightening Radiance Body Cream (which they named as "Mulbright Complex") and Snow Skin Whitening Soap (which they named as "Alpaflor GigaWhite").

Swatch:

This spot treatment is very handy to have. The packaging is a bit big for something that just contains 10g of products inside. The product comes in a clear gel, and is easily absorbed by the skin. What's nice with this is that it doesn't sting or feel warm on my skin, but it works in shrinking zits in 3 days. I so wish they'd make a moisturizing gel for this range, something I can use on my entire face.

The Belo AcnePro 3-Step Clear Skin System is affordable, proudly local, but with good quality. It's doing a great job in keeping my skin clear. I also like how the products in this range are free from unnecessary colorants, but only contains ingredients that are really beneficial for the skin.

Price: P149.75 (10g)

The Belo Essentials AcnePro range is available in leading supermarkets, drugstores, and department stores nationwide. Like Belo Essentials on Facebook for more information.

Have you tried the Belo AcnePro 3-Step Clear Skin System? How did it work out for you?

Unboxing: Special Edition #BeautyfromWithin Glamourbox (featuring Belo Nutraceuticals)

And now, the most fancy-looking Glamourbox I've seen!

Glamourbox released a very special box in partnership with Belo Nutraceuticals, the Special Edition Beauty from Within Glamourbox.

Being the curious girl that I was, I decided to do research on what's inside the box, even before they shipped it out. (There were clues all over the web. Haha!) The products contain the skincare wonder that is collagen, which got me all excited. I am not really iffy with taking supplements as long as they can benefit my body and that they come from a reputable brand, such as Belo.

I remember telling my Mom about this box, since I think she will like the health benefits of collagen as well. The next day, THIS arrived on our doorstep. Glamourbox Team, you never fail to surprise! Thank you so much for this! ♥

Let's unbox!

The box is filled with two supplements that work from within, they unlock bright, luminous skin and enhance overall health and beauty.

In the order of my favorites (haha, there are just two of them inside the box anyway), here are the contents:

Belo Nutraceuticals Collagen Powder Drink (P1,592.50)

I'm most curious about this Collagen Powder Drink. Each box contains 14 sachets, which means 2 weeks are all it takes for you to bring back your healthy, youthful skin. Each sachet contains 5,000mg of marine collagen. You can mix this powder with any beverage - juice, coffee, tea, chocolate drink, and even soup. But I think I'll just mix this with chocolate milk. :D

Belo Nutraceuticals Glutathione with Collagen 30s (P1,440.00)

This bottle contains 30 capsules (with 250mg glutathione each); you have to take this twice a day so it will last for 15 days. I'm curious if results can be seen in as early as 2 weeks. I will definitely keep you posted for when I take this one.

Imagine taking the Collagen Powder Drink and Glutathione with Collagen all in 2 weeks. You'd probably be reaping (or harvesting) "Blooming ka!" comments all day.

The Glamourbox and Belo Nutraceuticals team were sweet to add these unexpected little extras inside the kit: a mini memo pad and a cushioned purse. Definitely useful for me!

With a value of around P3,032.50, you're getting about 5x worth of the P595.00 subscription fee + shipping! If you're keen on trying out either the Belo Nutraceuticals Collagen Powder Drink or Glutathione with Collagen, or both, the wisest thing to do is to just get this box.

Unboxing: Flawless Beauty Glamourbox [August 2014]

Glamourbox just released their newest box with the theme of Flawless Beauty.

This box was actually a surprise from the Glamourbox Team. Thank you! ♥ Glamourbox is an online beauty subscription box that expertly curates at least 5 deluxe beauty samples from premium and niche beauty brands for just P595.00! Each box is unique and has a certain theme.

Flawless Beauty Glamourbox contains things that will help us be effortlessly beautiful, all the time.

In the order of my favorites, let's see what's inside the box!

Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Laguna Beach
(Full Size 8g / P950.00)

At first, I thought this was just another lip gloss cosplaying as "liquid lipstick". Upon reading the curation card, my eyes popped when I read that it actually dries matte. Interesting! (I must be living under a rock for so long since it's my first time to hear of the brand and this product, while other beauty bloggers are swooning over it already. As they say, there's always a first time for everything.) The shade Laguna Beach is a very wearable nude pink shade, which would suit most skin tones. I have yet to test it, and I'm hoping that it won't dry out my lips so much, given its matte texture.

Plus, this item alone is worth more than the entire subscription fee of the box!

Belo Essentials AcnePro Pimple-Fighting Gel Face Wash
(Full Size 50ml / P99.75)
Belo Essentials AcnePro Treatment Toner
(Full Size 60ml / P79.75)
Belo Essentials Acnepro Pimple Gel
(Full Size 10g / P149.75)

Please don't kill me for saying this, but this Belo Essentials AcnePro 3-Step Clear Skin System was really the first thing that got me excited when I opened the box! Well, that was until I found out that Ofra Liquid Lipstick was actually a matte lippie and not a lip gloss, which automatically pushed it to the #1 spot in my favorites list. Haha!

I regretted not grabbing these Belo products when they were at Sample Room. I'm most curious about the toner since I'm looking for a product that could possibly replace my Snoe Star Night Star Bright Toner (which I find expensive at P249.00 for just 50ml). My face is dependent on salicylic acid in order to stay clear, but I will most certainly welcome purified bee venom into my routine as well. The Pimple Gel will come in handy for breakout days, while the cleanser may sit in my stash for a short while since it expires on May 2017 (hehe) and I have a lot of cleansers up for trial. I haven't tried a Belo product I didn't like yet, so I have high hopes for this range (even with its low price).

Ellana Minerals Lip Scrub in Strawberry Vanilla
(Full Size 10g / P165.00)
Ellana Minerals Multi-Purpose Mineral Powder in Halo
(Full Size 1g / P160.00)

I'm a fan of Ellana Minerals, but I have yet to try these two products.

I always use lip balm before going to sleep, and rid my lips of the dead skin cells in the morning by using my toothbrush or damp finger. Now, I can exfoliate my lips for real with this Lip Scrub! I love that it smells so sweet - just like candy! I bet it tastes sweet too since it makes use of sugar as an exfoliant.

Next is the Multi-Purpose Mineral Powder in Halo (some boxes contained the bronzy shade Brilliance). Halo is a lovely iridescent white shade that has pinkish tones. It's a shade I'd sport any day since I wear minimal eye makeup. The nice thing is that this shade can also double as a highlighter!

TRESemme Smooth and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner
(Full Size 440ml / P275.00 each; samples worth P56.25 each)

I'm not too thrilled with this shampoo and conditioner duo. My hair is rather choosy; if I use a regular shampoo (with a lot of sulfates), my waves would lie flat. However, I like that these came in cute chubby little bottles. I won't say that they're travel-sized, but for sample sizes, they're pretty decent. I'm liking the gorgeous floral scent as well, so I won't totally X this out of my list.

Beauty Republic Original Dramatic BB Tinted Cream
Beauty Republic Dramatic Green Touch BB Tinted Cream
(Full Size 30ml / P695.00)

Glamourbox was sweet to include these bonus items inside the box. It's my first time to encounter Beauty Republic, which is another Korean beauty brand. These BB cream samples are marketed as skincare + makeup. I'm not a fan of sachet samples since they're quite inconvenient and messy to use, although these ones came in a blister pack. However, I love collecting tiny makeup samples since they're so perfect for travel.

Subscription Fee: P595.00
Box Value: P1,716.75 (excluding the BB cream sachets)

I liking Flawless Beauty Glamourbox's selection of products, since it's balanced with makeup, skincare, and hair care products. Everything is usable for me! I may be biased since I'm already a fan of Belo and Ellana to begin with (both brands are proudly local). I'm also excited to try out new makeup brands such as Ofra and Beauty Republic - and this I think is the (more) thrilling side of beauty subscription boxes.
