After the very successful opening of Uniqlo's first store in the Philippines last June at SM Mall of Asia, Uniqlo opened its second store last Friday, November 16, 2012, at SM City North EDSA The Block. Now, Northerners don't have to go far for their basic fashion fix.
There are many clothing stores that open in malls, but it's only with Uniqlo that I've witnessed people eagerly lining up early in the morning before the mall opens just to have first dibs of the stuff in store! And the queue lasts all day - it was around 9:00 PM yesterday and people were still lining up outside the store, all ready to shop. How the Filipinos receive and patronize Uniqlo is very remarkable!
What will welcome you as you enter Uniqlo in SM City North EDSA is their Fall/Winter 2012 Collection - very fitting for when we usher in the cooler weather for the latter part of the year. Uniqlo features their Heattech range of products, which keeps us warm without the need of layering.
A super nice find which I'm sure many people will love are Uniqlo's fleece jackets. They're thick, comfy, and warm. They come in a wide variety of prints and more colors than the rainbow. This one is my personal favorite - I'll show you why later!
Uniqlo also has stuff for those little fashionable kids - from basics like innerwear, to UTs, to Fall/Winter clothes.
Jeans and leggings in all colors are also yours to fit. They have short shorts, too! Too bad even their smallest size (22) is too loose for me. I would have loved to own a great pair of Uniqlo jeans.
Uniqlo's UT (or Graphic T-Shirts) for both men and women are on sale at just P590.00! The only UT design I get is from their Hello Kitty line, and I am so happy that they now have a Sanrio line!
I am so loving this loose Hello Kitty UT - it's the perfect thing to wear with short denim shorts!
Of course, I had to take snapshots of the fun moments I had with these fabulous bloggers!

I also had a wonderful opportunity to have a photo taken with Mr. Katsumi Kubota, the Chief Operating Officer of Fast Retailing Philippines, Inc. Thank you so much for bringing Uniqlo to the Philippines!
It's now checkout time! I approached the counter of Uniqlo and was greeted with smiles from their super friendly crew members. Every one of them was filled with energy, and those who assisted me while shopping gave great service and recommendations on which items to get.
Thank you AMPR & Uniqlo Philippines for the shopping spree!
(Special thanks to Richard for inviting me!)
Now I'll show you my top picks from Uniqlo:
Uniqlo Sanrio Graphic Raglan Short Sleeve T in White
It's Hello Kitty! What's not to love? I like that this version of UT is not in the typical t-shirt form. It's loose and comfy, and when paired with short shorts, makes for an effortlessly cute look. And because it's a UT, you can expect the fabric to be buttery-soft and comfy.
Uniqlo Light Cotton Scoop Neck Short Sleeve T in Blue
You can never have too many basic pieces in your closet! I was planning to get this one in black, as the fabric was quite thin, but then this sky blue shade looked more youthful, fresh, and airy. This is made of 100% cotton and feels very light, stretchy, and comfortable.
Uniqlo Fleece Reversible Long Sleeve Jacket in Red
Uniqlo's fleece jackets feel so good and warm on the skin! This one is reversible, so you can instantly come up with 2 looks - or even more. This is actually a hot pink shade, I don't know why the tag indicates that it's red. I was actually torn between a dark brown fleece jacket or this hot pink one, as the dark brown one is more wearable. But what the hell, it's not everyday that I get to see a gorgeous hot pink jacket as this! I wore this here and didn't want to return it back to the rack, so I had to have it! Now I wish that the weather would turn cold so I could wear this jacket already!
Make sure you drop by Uniqlo in SM City North EDSA, The Block soon! They do have an ongoing opening treat that I'm sure you will all love.
And when you do drop by, feel free to share your Uniqlo haul with me! Happy shopping!
Love,
Helen
