It's my first time to dine at Banapple in Tomas Morato, and I'd like to share with you what my friends and I had. We ate full meals, and no desserts. I wish we had as their cakes looked so delectable, but there's always a next time!
Grandma's Corn Chowder (P80.00)
Chowder of potatoes, corn, and crumbled bacon
Creamy Chicken Pie (P135.00)
Moist chicken flakes blended in our creamy white sauce, wrapped in a flavorful buttery crust. Served with chunky potato salad
I super liked the Creamy Chicken Pie! I think this is super sulit, as you get two big and yummy chunks of chicken pie (good for sharing!) and potato salad on the side.
Herbed Chicken Rolls with Basil Cream Sauce (P185.00)
Herb-crusted chicken breast, stuffed with cheese and ham strips, and smothered with our rich basil white sauce; served with glazed butter carrots
At first glance, I wasn't a huge fan of this dish because it has sauce smothered all over the chicken, but that's just me! I'm weird that way since I like my food dry. If I were to order this dish, I'd have the sauce separated. But then, I loved how the chicken tasted together with the cheese and ham inside!
Baked Creamy Cheesy Penne (P185.00)
A well-loved dish of luscious cheese sauce and meaty tomato sauce, with al dente penne pasta and sauteed hungarian sausage. Served with pesto bread
I was craving for cheesy, salty pasta so I ordered this. The serving was HUGE, and I only managed to eat half of the tall pasta bowl, and was already full. I think this one needed improvement though, the sauce was kind of watery, and the cheese lacked saltiness.
Banapple is a nice place to hang out with family and friends - the servings are big and meant for sharing. I'll try their cakes next time!
Love,
Helen
