Novuhair 3-in-1 Pack: Nature's Solution to Hair Loss

When it comes to my hair, I tend to favor natural products than those bombarded with harsh chemicals. I've had an experience before with those kinds of shampoos, wherein I'd have tons of hair fall. I color my hair often so it's quite damaged and vulnerable, so I won't risk losing more hair.

When I was asked to try Novuhair, I wasn't offended at all. It's not that I'm going bald that made me push forward into trying it, but it was more of my affinity towards natural hair care products. If this can help improve my hair's current state, then why not?

Novuhair's 3-in-1 set comes with 200ml bottles of Herbal Shampoo, Herbal Conditioner, and Topical Scalp Lotion.

The boxed set is sealed for your protection.

The set also includes separate caps (for the shampoo and conditioner) and pump dispenser (for the scalp lotion).

Novuhair Herbal Shampoo

Ingredients:

Texture:

The Herbal Shampoo comes in a creamy brown liquid, and it has a spicy oriental fragrance. The scent is strong, and it takes a little getting used to - like an acquired taste or so. Since it has 2 forms of sulfate in it, it forms a foamy lather that cleanses my hair and scalp thoroughly. This preps the hair for the next 2 steps - the nourishing conditioner and scalp lotion.

As for the effect of the shampoo, my hair feels really clean, soft, and lightweight. Hair fall has been minimized, with one month of usage. But in shower, this doesn't give a smooth rinse, I always follow with conditioner.

Novuhair Herbal Conditioner

Ingredients:

Texture:

The Herbal Conditioner has a unique texture - creamy but slightly gritty. Noteworthy ingredients aside from the ones that help improve blood circulation and reduce hair fall are sweet almond oil (to moisturize the hair) and lactic acid (to repair the hair from within).

I like that the conditioner moisturizes my hair without leaving any tinge of heaviness or greasiness behind. I foresee this bottle getting used up first among the three.

Novuhair Topical Scalp Lotion

Ingredients:

Texture:

Made of ingredients as pure as only nature could provide, such asmoringa oleifera, panax ginseng, aloe, ginger, centella asiatica, phyllantus emblica, biotin, and the essential oils of rosemary, lavender, peppermint, lemon grass, and virgin coconut, Novuhair Topical Scalp Lotion helps improve blood circulation to the scalp and increase nutrition to hair follicles, such that the scalp is detoxified, dandruff is eliminated, and hair growth is stimulated while excessive hair fall, remedied.

I was pleasantly surprised that the pump applicator of this one had a spray nozzle, and that the "lotion" was actually liquid (and not creamy). This makes for easy massaging and absorption. It is advised to use the Topical Scalp Lotion twice a day (morning and evening), massaging it into the scalp for 5-10 minutes. But then again, I'm too lazy so I just use this during the evening (because again of the strong scent, which I can't use during the day), and massaging it only for about 3 minutes tops.

I admit, I wasn't really consistent with using the Topical Scalp Lotion every single day, but as far as I noticed, with the Novuhair 3-in-1 set, my hair fall has been minimized, and my hair is left in a better, healthier condition than it was before. I had visited the salon last May, and the assistants were nagging me to get a treatment since my hair was falling and was so dry. On my next visit, they told me that my hair seemed thicker now, so I guess their observation was right.

Prior to Novuhair, I was using Human Nature Natural Strengthening Shampoo & Conditioner in Cool Peppermint. Since Human Nature's formula is sulfate-free, after about a week of consecutive use, my scalp is left oily so I need to use a "stronger" one to clean off the buildup. Novuhair does a perfect job at that, since it's able to clean my hair thoroughly, and yet remain gentle on the scalp. Because it has sulfates, my waves tend to lie flat (hence my hair looks straighter) whenever I use this everyday, so to preserve my waves (and money - since this set is quite pricey), I use the Novuhair 3-in-1 set in 2 ways:
  1. Use Novuhair Herbal Shampoo and Conditioner every other day, alternately with a more affordable shampoo and conditioner.
  2. Dilute Novuhair Herbal Shampoo and Conditioner into your everyday (preferrably natural and sulfate-free) shampoo and conditioner, and just use it everyday.
Last tip, the Topical Scalp Lotion stains clothes, so take extra care and just layer on an old shirt on your pillow to protect it. Also, don't forget to wash your hands after applying it.

Novuhair 3-in-1 set is a quick and convenient way to bring back the health of your hair and prevent hair fall/loss. The set may be expensive, but it's a nice and natural alternative to those who are battling hair loss, and this one's definitely less pricey than surgery.
