Nose packs or nose strips are actually quite new to me. It's my first time to try one. Just for the sake of sharing with you a review, I violated my own skincare rule of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." But then, it's from Tony Moly so what could go wrong? :)
I don't have a lot of blackheads to begin with, by my nose has a couple of small bumps which I figure are whiteheads. Maybe this could remove them. Let's see!
Tony Moly Egg Pore Nose Pack
Effective pore strip that clears out blackheads and impurities with egg & camelia ingredient
Tony Moly Egg Pore Nose Pack comes in a cute, non-intimidating packaging.
At the back are Korean stuff I don't understand, plus English instructions.
[Direction] After wetting the nose enough, peel off the plastic line, and place the smooth side of the sheet down on the nose area. Leave it for 10~15 minutes. When the sheet has completely dtied, peel it off starting at the edge toward the center.
I placed the pack a little too high, but I couldn't adjust it anymore since it stuck to my skin like glue. After the pack has dried, I peeled it off slowly. It was painful but tolerable.
Before
After
After removing it, the surface of my nose felt so smooth! It looked cleaner as well. The pack was able to take with it about 2 blackheads (I told you I didn't have a lot), a LOT of whiteheads, plus some hairs.
The aftermath of it all was gross, but you can see from here that it's effective. Looks like my whiteheads have been plucked from the depths of my pores!
I wouldn't say that I'd regularly use the Tony Moly Egg Pore Nose Pack, but I'd repurchase when the need for it arises.
Pros:
- It's convenient. No need for messy egg masks.
- It's effective in removing blackheads and whiteheads. (No need for painful derma pricking!)
- It works fast - 10-15 minutes tops.
- It's affordable.
- The scent doesn't bother me.
Cons:
- Pack sticks firmly on the skin and is painful to peel off, just like a band-aid.
Price: P28.00 each or P178.00 for a box of 7
Available at Tony Moly stores nationwide
Like Tony Moly Philippines on Facebook for more information and updates! I'm curious, do you really use nose strips on a regular basis?
Love,
Helen
I did some research online and a lot of people discourage the use of nose strips because they stretch the pores, making them more prone to accumulating debris. I guess that makes sense, so I stopped using strips. I use a comedone extractor occasionally, though. The best thing would be to ask a derma if nose strips could be used regularly.
ReplyDeleteAfter using this strip, I didn't wet my face for 4 hours (just like after doing a facial), because I think my pores became open. I agree, it's still best to ask a derma. :)
DeleteYou doesn't really seem like having many blackheads :)
