All that glitters is gold. That is the case for Careline's Glitter Mascara in Gold. The first time I saw this, I thought it was a glitter eyeliner. But a glitter mascara? That's something new for me.

This tube contains a lot of product, 10ml to be exact. I was actually curious on how it would turn out for me, but part of me was doubtful because I have sparse and short lashes, and the product might not show.

At first, I thought it had no bristles, with just a twisted steel applicator. But then I inspected it closer and saw these even, spiral bristles, which made me think that this product is meant to be topped over regular mascara for more impact.

When worn (Indoors)
It hardly showed up on my lashes. Indoors, it was like I just put a clear mascara on, which held the curl for a short span of time. Maybe this would look better on people with long lashes.

When worn (outdoors)
However, all is not lost for this mascara, because when light (or sunlight, to be exact), hits your face, this mascara shows itself as sparkly gold. For a while I was amused, but I still prefer mine in classic black. I'm thankful that this one isn't waterproof; it's easy to remove with just water at the end of the day.
This glitter mascara is a fun addition to my kit, and it can add a cute sparkle to the eyes, but I don't think I'll be sporting gold lashes regularly, so I'd skip the repurchase on this one.
Love,
Helen
Hi Helen! I have this one too. And I have to say it isn't a must-buy. Friends always mistake it as eye gunk! Eeew! I've had enough of it, so I stopped using it na lang.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if there are other darker glitter shades like blue or purple would look better and less like eye gunk. :) I don't use this much too, just twice or thrice I think.
DeleteBet ko siya for an 80's inspired look. Hehe :P

I'm not sure if other shades are available, but you're right, these could work nicely for cosplay makeup! :)
