I've loved The Body Shop for the longest time, but then realized that I've never paid much attention to their Originals range. I've read rave reviews on their Banana hair care range, and that same time, I ran out of my conditioner, so off to The Body Shop I went. Their Originals Collection was on sale at 50% off, so I knew it was meant to be! I went to two of their stores in SM North EDSA, but it was already out of stock. Then, I found the last bottle in their Trinoma store. I guess it was waiting for me to buy it. Lucky!
A beauty classic returns. This thick and creamy conditioner leaves hair beautifully soft and tangle-free. It contains real banana puree.
- Leaves hair soft and tangle-free
- Thick and creamy
- Bottle made from 100% recycled plastic
I have to admit, at first whiff, that it was not my favorite smell in the world. Bananas are a bit unconventional for shampoos and conditioners. But then the scent grew on me and somehow I find myself looking forward to bath time just so I could experience its fruity, banana shake goodness.
I liked this conditioner so much that I had to bring this big bottle to the beach trip I went to earlier this month. It makes me hair so soft and tangle-free (true to its promise) without weighing it down. Even if it's moisturizing, it does not feel heavy or sticky at all. Even if it's rich and creamy, it does not cause me bacne at all.
Usually after bathing, I just do a single comb-through on my hair (to fix the hair part), and I just let it air dry naturally. That's when the waves form. I've experienced using harsh hair products that even after conditioning, my waves would fall flat. This one let my hair dry into a soft, wavy finish without the need for styling products. (It's not perfect, and I know I need an overdue trim for my bangs and the ends of my hair.)
Aside from The Body Shop's body butters, I think I've found another favorite! Which means I have to stock up on this product since it's currently on sale at 50% off (from P595.00 to P279.50 per 250ml bottle).
