I miss attending The Body Shop Love Your Body Workshops, so when I found out that one will be held in SM North EDSA, I made sure to go! The title of this workshop was "Butter Up for the New You", and being the body butter fan that I am, I got excited and went early so I could take pictures.
The Body Shop highlights their famous Body Butters for new year. Perhaps this campaign is correlated to winter in other countries, where the cold weather leaves skin super dry. Even here in the Philippines, my skin dried up during cold December nights. Body Butter to the rescue from head to toe!
This one houses 2 types of body butter, one for normal skin and the other for dry skin. (I'm thinking of giving this to my mom for her birthday this month!)
And in every The Body Shop workshop comes the classic 5-step skin preparation: cleanse, tone, eye serum, face serum, and moisturizer.
Today was a very special day since we all got to try The Body Shop's latest skincare product: Nutriganics Drops of Youth.
It comes in a medicine dropper packaging (plus points for being hygienic). The serum is meant to combat signs of ageing, to reveal smoother, fresher, and healthier looking skin. I liked the watery, non-sticky texture of this serum. It felt rather cooling on my skin, and was easily absorbed. Although I can't see any dramatic effect since I've just used this once, I think this is a very promising product (using plant stem cells as one of its main ingredient). And as all serums do, it helps our skin absorb the benefits of the skincare products we use, such as moisturizer.
After skincare is the most awaited part: makeup time!
I love attending Love Your Body Workshops because I get to learn so much about skincare and makeup! Be a Love Your Body member too and I'll see you in the coming workshops. :)
Love,
Helen
