Rainy Day Shoes: Melissa Campana Zigzag in Clear Glitter

Rainy weather calls for some rainy day shoes!

Since I commute to and from work everyday, I dislike the rain. -_- But then, since I can't do anything about it, then I just gotta adapt and get myself some rainy day shoes. I know this is really common, but my personal pet peeve is seeing corporate attire + slippers (unless it's really flooded), so I always wear flats on my way to work (because I like keeping my toes clean). One particular pair I'm loving right now is this one from Melissa, which I got from Geleia Trinoma.

Each pair of Melissa shoes comes with a cloth shoebag, which I love! But it somehow got lost in my room and now I can't find it!

Every Melissa starts as a dream.

The pair I got is Melissa+Campana Zigzag in Clear Glitter (P2,895.00), which is part of their Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

The reason why I chose this pair is because I've seen a lot of cheap knockoffs of the Melissa Campana Zigzag in the marketplace/bazaars in basic colors such as black, brown, or red, but I've never seen a fake one in this pretty, clear, glittery shade!

Indoors, this one actually looks blue-green! I was actually scared to use and abuse this pretty pair of flats, but it's very durable. The glitter holds up well, and it's still sparkly and nice even after a few months of use. I love the fact that I can just rinse my shoes (or feet) anytime it gets dirty with rainwater.

My only gripe is that they're not exactly the comfiest pair of jelly shoes I've tried. My feet might develop calluses or blisters if I use this every single day, since it's still plastic and plastic rubbing on to skin causes a great deal of friction.

I'm loving the design of this pretty pair of Melissa flats, but after many months, my feet have still yet to get used to this. Am I the only one feeling this way?

Denim & Pleats

My sisters and I went to Trinoma today as our usual Sunday ritual of eating and shopping - things we do best. To make my day productive, I had to force her to take pictures of my outfit shot! I looked awkward in the photos, and I know I need more practice. Someone please teach me how to pose. Haha! :D

If you take a peek into my closet, you'd see so many blacks and neutrals, and maybe some red and corals as pops of colors. My sister noticed that I am leaning more to the ROY (red, orange, yellow) color spectrum, and she's the BIV (blue, indigo, violet). Which means that for this post, I am wearing her top and skirt! (Thanks, Cindy!)

Veloci Cruise in White

I'm a fan of that classic look, which reflects in my choices of accessories. My new watch is from the Veloci Cruise Collection. Veloci is a new Italian-inspired, imported watch brand made from high grade stainless steel and top quality Japanese movement. I chose the white one since I am loving the clean look, plus the face of the white Veloci watch comes in silver, which means that it would go well with ANY color of watch strap! It's very stylish and practical as well.

I'm loving the modern-vintage vibe of this watch, and the fact that each set comes with 2 NATO nylon watch straps from Asprey. I can use the other straps to come up with an entirely different look. 23: Food | Gifts | Haul

Exactly one month after my birthday, I will finally get to share with you some of the stuff that I ate, got, and bought for my birthday! (This is such an overdue post.)

My family and I had dinner at Mesa in Tomas Morato for some delicious Filipino dishes. We fell in love with this restaurant at the first try, so we went back!

My team ate out for lunch since it was my teammate's despedida. We went to Ral's in UP Technohub for a lunch buffet. Look at how I eat during buffets. I had to stuff my plate with rice or else my meal would be incomplete! A few more plates followed after, but I wasn't able to take pictures anymore since I was so busy eating. Haha!

Before we headed back to work, my colleague surprised me with this cute little cake from Starbucks!

My college friends had a reunion/sleepover a week after my birthday. We had home-cooked fried chicken and hotdog. These kind of food remind me of children's parties, but I liked it a lot! Fried chicken is actually my favorite thing in the world. Haha!

Then they surprised me with a hate cake! :O Haha!

My mom gave me an SM gift card so I could choose whatever I wanted. I got a nude-colored bag from Parisian (just because I love neutral-colored bags), and a gray-colored slippers with butterfly detail from Toeberries. I bought a new pair of slippers because it was flood season then, and I could wear it on my way to work (if ever it gets too rainy for my shoes to function). Gray goes with everything!

My dad got these cute Frostings cupcakes for me and my sisters.

This has to be one of my favorite presents - a Forever 21 makeup bag from my sister! I wanted this but couldn't get myself to buy it since it was too pricey, but my sister gave it to me! Yey! My makeup now has a new home. This one is soooo roomy, which means that I can get more makeup to fill it up. :D

The following gifts I received from my officemates came in pink. Oh they knew me quite well! A pink kikay kit, a pink Michaela umbrella, and pink-and-purple flats from Tomato!

This one is my gift to my darling baby niece - she turned 2 last August. The colors remind me of the Tomato flats above!

This one I also consider as a birthday gift, since I won it on my birth month! I got a P3,000 GC from Melissa shoes from Maven magazine. But I have yet to pick my perfect pair!

The last 2 kikay stuff, I got for myself! I repurchased the Snoe Magic Apple Whitening S-rub from my favorite Snoe counter in Landmark Trinoma. This stuff works like magic. It instantly brightens my skin!

I also bought this new book, Seventeen Ultimate Guide to Beauty! It's my favorite beauty book since it has a lot of makeup and hair pegs. It's very inspiring! (Will share what's inside soon!)
