The Body Shop Special Edition Blueberry Body Scrub-Gelee and Body Butter

Late last year, I bought a bottle of Blueberry Shower Gel on whim. I liked how it smelled so nostalgic, just like a blackcurrant candy I used to enjoy as a kid.

And then, as if The Body Shop heard my clamor for more blueberry goodness, they released a Special Edition Blueberry bath and body range this year! :D

The Body Shop Special Edition Blueberry Body Scrub-Gelee

This gently exfoliating body scrub has an uplifting blueberry scent. Each pot contains Community Fair Trade honey from Ethiopia, made from the nectar of thousands of wildflowers.

Notice that this body scrub doesn't just end at "scrub" - it's jelly! :D Upon opening the jar, you'd get a strong whiff of a tangy and juicy blueberry jam! Think: the blueberries in syrup, on top of a cheesecake. It's that scent. This scrub-gelee has a light and easily spreadable texture, and as you rub it on your skin you'd feel the gritty walnut shells and raspberry seeds do their skin-softening magic without being too abrasive. Upon rinsing it off, all you get is fresh and smooth skin that smells sooo good!

This uplifting Body Butter is rich in juicy moisture, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. Did you know each pot contains the oil from at least 500 blueberries?

It may sound weird for me to be saying this, but I am relieved that this body butter didn't come in blue or purple! I don't like too colorful body moisturizers. The main ingredients in the Special Edition Blueberry Body Butter are cocoa butter and shea butter, so this makes for a super potent moisturizer for dry skin. Add on the oil from at least 500 blueberries (per pot!), and you get this super juicy skin nourishing moisturizer. Remember, blueberries are high in antioxidants! :D

Body Scrub-Gelee | Body Butter

I love using this scrub, but I don't want to over-exfoliate so I just do it once or twice a week. As for the body butter, even with its thick texture, it's not too greasy but I still prefer to use it only at night. Trivia: Special Edition Blueberry is now my Mom's favorite body butter variant. :D
