Review: Fet Boys Cookies

How do you like your cookies?

I like mine chewy, chocolatey, and warm CHILLED - only if it's from Fet Boys!

 

It's my first time to encounter cookies that don't become hard as rocks when left in the fridge! Usually, cookies have to be warmed for it to have a softer, chewy texture. Fet Boys went the opposite route to deliver a unique cookie experience. It took them a year to perfect this recipe. Good things take time, and this is one of them!

Too Much Chocolate Chip Cookies (bestseller)

Coffee Butterscotch Cookies (new flavor)

 

The Too Much Chocolate Chip Cookie has a very moist cookie dough texture in room temperature. It has surprise walnut bits for that added crunch! I love the contrast. The Coffee Butterscotch Cookie has hints of cinnamon that reminds me of Christmas. The coffee aroma is strong in this one. My sister and I ate this at 10 PM, and we were wondering why we couldn't sleep at 2 AM. LOL!

 

It's my first time to encounter cookies that taste better when chilled (based on instructions), so from cookie dough texture, the texture transforms to something like a dessert bar! 😮 AMAZING! The cookies remain chewy in the fridge for 2 weeks and will last for 45 days in the freezer.

 

The quality of these cookies are even better than pricey ones sold in upscale coffee shops. I can imagine THIS cookie being sold in coffee shops. As for its price... get ready to be blown away! 😁

The salmon cake of my dreams from Salmon HQ

I had the happiest week because I finally had the chance to indulge in the salmon cake of my dreams from Salmon HQ!

 

 

Salmon HQ is known for their super FRESH salmon - fatty, melts in your mouth, with zero lansa (fishy smell) factor.

 

 

Salmon HQ's Premium Salmon Cake (PHP 1,200) is the most beautiful cake for me! If you want to have cake but you're *trying* to avoid sweets... This is the answer! I already know what my birthday cake will be this year, even if it's 7 months from now. The salmon slices are SO FRESH, I cannot stress it enough. My sister who is afraid of eating thick slices of sashimi (for fear of worms) had second servings of this salmon cake. The size is just right, and for it's price you definitely get value for money. Inside the cake are generous layers of sushi rice, kani, more salmon chunks, and fish roe. So heavenly!!!

 

 

Their sushi bakes are also quite popular! I discovered an unexpected favorite from the four flavors I have tried.

Half n’ Half Crunchy California / Unagi Sushi Bake (PHP 950)

This is the Aburi Scallop, Salmon, Ebi side - so packed with flavor!

This is the Tako Yummy side - with whole pieces of baby octopus!

I don't usually crave takoyaki, but this one is so delicious! It's generously topped with multiple pieces of whole baby octopuses. Not just 1 piece, not just tiny chunks! This puts the previous takoyaki I have tried before to shame. I still can't get over the fact that I found the best "takoyaki" in form of sushi bake.

Unboxing: The Body Shop "Lucky Bag"

Last Christmas, I was one of the winners of The Body Shop's 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway and this HUGE goodie bag arrived last Friday. I didn't know what I was going to get as the prizes were blind bags - with over P10,000 worth of products inside! SO EXCITING!

White Musk Smoky Rose is such a unique scent. Younger me won't appreciate it as it's quite strong, but I like it now. I got concealer and brow makeup too, both very useful as they can be used even when I'm wearing a mask.

Benefits of Wearing Shapewear

Welcome to my first blog post for 2021!

 

I am starting the year right not by imposing that I have to strictly exercise every single day, but instead listening to my body and setting boundaries between work and rest. That was something I wasn’t able to do last year, which indeed burned me out on multiple occasions. After the first work week of the year went by, I’m proud to say that I have been productive at work while maintaining a consistent 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM work schedule. I have also began to maximize my lunch break by squeezing in 30-minute workouts during the weekdays. I do intend to keep this up the entire year for the sake of my health and sanity.

 

Today, we will be talking about shapewear once more! And to be honest, I really do own a waist trainer. I bought one in 2018 when my doctor told me I had lumbar instability and had to wear some form of lumbar support. The compression effect seemed to help manage the pain and keep my posture in check. While I still wear mine as needed for medical reasons, there are benefits to wearing shapewear everyday, such as making you feel warm to stimulate perspiration as you work out. As they say, sweat is fat cells crying! Also, there is an instant confidence boost you get when your curves look spectacular in all the right places, right?
