Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring in Gold Blonde

About 2 months ago, I colored my hair Wine Red using Etude House's Bubble Hair Coloring. The fiery red shade lasted only less than a week because it washed off every time I bathed, so I was left with a warm brown hue. While I liked how it looked like (even if I felt ripped off), I got bored with my hair color again, so I decided to dye it again using Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring in Gold Blonde.

Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring in Gold Blonde (P398.00)

The first time I saw this in store, I hesitated because the yellow hair in the box looked scary. But then I realized that it was IMPOSSIBLE for my naturally dark hair to have that same result, so I went back the next day and bought it.

This time, the box had descriptions and instructions written in English. This is very helpful (and necessary), because their previous shades had everything (from the box to the instruction leaflet) written in Korean.

One reason why I keep buying this hair coloring kit is because it's so easy to use! It's a shampoo-type hair color where you'd just lather the foam all over your hair, unlike cream type ones that require combing and sectioning, plus brushing on the color per section. That's hard work.

The kit contains the following:

Hair Coloring | Oxidizer | Silky Perfumed Conditioner | Vinyl Gown & Gloves

Before:

After:

Tips:
  1. Shampoo (and don't condition) your hair the day before plan to color your hair.
  2. Don't wash or wet your hair prior to applying this product.
  3. Follow instructions, leave it on for 30 minutes (or up to 40 minutes if you like), but not more than that. The skin on the sides of my neck felt a little itchy so I had to remove the mixture in 30 minutes flat.
  4. Rinse with cool water (since hot water opens up the hair's cuticles and loosens the color pigments from your hair, hence resulting in brassy color).
  5. The top and front part of my hair always ended up lighter than the back part whenever I use the Bubble Hair Coloring, so maybe you can start at the back (especially the area near the nape) then go upwards towards the roots.
  6. Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner for maintenance. (Human Nature has nice and affordable sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners.) Even some shampoos that are marked as "color preserving" (like Pantene) has sulfates as their main ingredients, so read the label and choose wisely.
So far, I am pleased with the results! It may not be blonde, but it's light brown. Another new shade that was released last June was Mocha Pink, which is also priced at P398.00.

Have you tried these new shades of Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring? Do let me know about the results!

Love,
Helen

  6. that's sad that the wine shade only lasted a week on you. I have tried this but in light brown shade, and up to now after almost 4 months... i can still see some color left :) I'm thinking of getting Gold Blonde next. :D Your hair looks even more gorgeous with the new color :)

  14. sis ask ko lang.how's the color on your hair now. fading or getting lighter? i've only tried EH's Natural Brown a few months back and I think I'd like to try this one to lighten my hair color. Would greatly appreciate your reply. Thanks in advance!

    1. It's not fading. It looks bright/light brown outdoors, but darker indoors. :)

  15. I'm a guy and I used wine red to color my hair twice already. It looks nice and very easy to use. The great thing is that since I had jet black hair, the effect of the product on my hair is subtle and not exagerated. The last thing I need is to look like a carrot top. I love the shade of the red too, very tasteful. The downside is that since I have short hair the rest of the solution gets wasted unless I reuse it a few more times after my first coloring. The solution sort of deactivates you mix it or not. I've tried to do both so I guess the only sensible thing to do is use up the whole pack. - Kali

    1. Hello Kali! Glad to know that Wine Red worked for you! It washed of on me after a few days and turned brown - but a nice, natural shade of brown that is. (I prefer my hair to have a more noticeable tint hence I liked Gold Blonde more.)

Yes, I have the same "problem" with regards to the unused solution. Even with my long hair, I find it hard to finish the entire pump bottle - what more for those with shorter hair. The thing is you can't keep the solution as it goes bad and becomes ineffective after a few hours. Good thing this hair color kit is affordable. :)

  16. Tanong lang po... bakit mag kaiba yung kulay ng my flash at without flash?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Pag may flash mas "enhanced" or exagge yung color kasi mas maliwanag. Like for some foundations, may may flash mas maputi tingnan yung face.

    1. I think you'll have to skip a couple of weeks/months so the effect won't be so damaging. Even if this kit has no ammonia, chemicals can still dry out the hair.

    1. Hi Niña! Try mo ito, mas less pricey kesa sa salon hair coloring treatments. Effective kasi siya sakin, dati super black ng hair ko. Sana same or better result sayo. :) Yes, my fan page is https://www.facebook.com/LuckyCitrine :)

  20. Hi! I didn't know they have the pink color. I've tried the orange one, and it turned to be brown with a little shade of orange which disappear after several days.
I've also tried the red one, but it also turned to be brown on my hair with a little shade of red (a very little).
I'm going to try the blonde one and I hope I'll get a lighter color than you have (my hair color is natural brown now).
What I love from this product other than easy to apply is how they don't damage your hair as bad as other hair dye. And also the smell of the conditioner is very good.
But I still hope they can give a longer lasting result.
    Thank you for sharing :)

    1. Thanks for sharing as well, Novi! :D Yes, Wine Red washes out to a brown shade after about a week. I hope Gold Blonde works out better for you. This is my favorite shade among the bunch since it gives me the lightest shade. :D
