The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex You & Eyes + Swatches

I love weekends because it's the only time I get to really write. When I stay in during weekends, I could write a week's worth of drafts and just post away during weekdays (when I get home dead tired from work). This time, let me indulge you into some cutesy makeup from The Face Shop's Lovely Me:ex range!

The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex You & Eyes (P245.00)
The You & Eyes are mono-eyeshadow palettes that come in 19 sparkling hues that glide over the eyes with a silky texture, for truly glowing peepers.

Since I'm all for the natural makeup look and not so much into the wild and loud colors when it comes to eye makeup, I chose these two gorgeous shades of brown which I don't have yet in my kit.

The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex You & Eyes in Toast

I initially thought that I could use this as an eyebrow powder for when I dye my hair again, but this shade seems too light to be used for that purpose. This soft, matte brown shade is versatile enough not only to contour the eye area, but also the nose (to make the bridge more prominent). Apply with light strokes to get the most natural result.

The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex You & Eyes in Sand Brown

My camera couldn't capture how awesome this shade is, but you'll see how pretty it is with the swatch below. I wanted a gold eyeshadow, but I wanted one that wasn't too yellow. This was the answer! It has a brown base but is loaded with gold shimmer. I love how Sand Brown adds a cute sparkle to the eyes, especially when light hits it. Because of its brown base, it's neutral enough to be used during the day, but equally pretty when used at night for those sparkling, party-ready eyes.

Another noteworthy thing is that these eyeshadows glide so smoothly on your skin! I love playing with makeup, but I admit that I'm still a newbie when it comes to eyeshadows, so I tried applying these using my fingers, and I loved how velvety soft these eyeshadows are. They're quite long-lasting too, but not completely crease-resistant, so I have to use a primer for this to last the entire day. Since Toast and Sand Brown are both neutral shades, I can mix and match these up with my other eyeshadows to come up with different makeup looks.

The Lovely Me:ex You & Eyes range comes in 19 colorful and shimmery shades! I think they have all the colors of the rainbow and more. At just P245.00 a pop, you can indeed play with different shades, and not look the same way twice - which is the essence of the Lovely Me:ex range of products.

The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex products are available in all The Face Shop outlets nationwide. Like Thefaceshop Philippines on Facebook for more information, and stay tuned for more upcoming reviews!

Love,
Helen

    1. The names on the cover are super cute. I liked 'Today Is All Night Party"; it's partly the reason why I got Sand Brown. Haha :)

    1. I was eyeing that same eyebrow pencil! I heard that it's good, but I don't know how to use eyebrow pencil. I just use brown eyeshadow to fill in my brows. :D I think you'll love the other shades of the Lovely Me:ex You & Eyes line, they're all so pretty!

    1. I wasn't able to retouch, then at the end of the day it settled on my crease area. Will use a primer next time, since I have oily lids. :)

    1. Hi! Sad to say I am a noob with eyeshadows! I don't have my own eyeshadow primer yet so I can't make a good recommendation. I'm sorry about that.
