Human Nature Natural Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner

I have these almost empty bottles of Human Nature's Natural Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner in my shower caddy, and it took me a month's usage before I wrote this review. Prior to these, I used Human Nature's Natural Strengthening Shampoo and Conditioner.

Human Nature Natural Moisturizing Shampoo with CREAMFoam and Natural Moisturizing Conditioner

I was contemplating on whether I'd try this out or stick to the strengthening variant, but its scent instantly won me over so I gave it a shot. At less than P200.00 per bottle, I've got nothing to lose. The reason why I tried out this variant was because it smelled better (fresher and more fruity) than the strengthening one. The strengthening one smelled more like grass and green things, while this one smelled like freshly cut and squeezed oranges (even with that avocado drawing on its packaging). This scent is very uplifting and energizing; perfect for lazy mornings as it will perk you up. While I liked the scent of these products very much, I find them both a bit heavy and oily for my scalp when used together. Sometimes my scalp seem to itch and I see a little dandruff forming. Uh oh. I find the conditioner a bit sticky and my hair does not feel silky while washing the product off. I did not get any breakouts from this, which was a relief. I found a solution for this though. If ever I'll repurchase, I'll just get the Natural Moisturizing Shampoo with CREAMFoam together with the Natural Strengthening Conditioner. That way, I'd still have a fresh smelling shampoo with a light, non-sticky conditioner. (I'm planning to stick to sulfate-free hair products for now since I'm planning to color my hair again soon.)

Speaking of sulfate-free hair products, what other brands have you tried out, and how did you like it? I'm always looking for new ones to try! :)

Love,
Helen

  1. Hi, Helen. I’ve tried the conditioner too, and I had the same experience. The conditioner made my hair less buhaghag than usual, but my hair felt stiff. Although the product didn’t give me dandruff, it made my scalp itch. Sayang, because I like how the conditioner smells, and I like the fact I’m using a sulfate-free product.

    1. Yup, my sister and I experienced the itching too. I'm currently using The Body Shop's Banana Conditioner. They're currently on sale at 50% off so a 250ml bottle costs about P300.00. It's more pricey than Human Nature's, but it works better! I will write about it soon. :)
