Meg Big Deals: Freebies in the July 2013 Issue!

Meg had their Big Deals issue same month last year, where they gave away tons of gifts to their loyal readers. This year, they're doing it again! This promo is not announced anywhere on the cover of the magazine, so you'd have to buy it to know. Thank me for informing you! ;)

Meg July 2013

Meg Big Deals

Meg is giving away limited BIG DEAL items. Bring your copy of MEG July to the ONE MEGA GROUP office (18F Strata 100, Ortigas Center, Pasig City) to get your freebies and discount coupons. This promo is on first-come-first-serve basis, so the earlier you claim, the more items you'll get!

Total number to be given away varies per item, and there will be no replenishment. Whatever is available at the time of claiming will be given.

Since it was a holiday last July 1 in our office, I was up at the One Mega Group office early in the morning. Talk about being excited! I felt like I spent my holiday wisely going here.

My BIG DEAL loot from Meg!

GCs from Tamayaki

Tokyo Finds Stylus Pens

Love Schues Flats from The Traveling Closet

Pulpe de Vie Cooling Eye Mask

My favorite freebie would have to be the sandals from The Traveling Closet! It came in my exact size, and I love how it goes well with many of my outfits.

It's not yet the end of the month, yet I am declaring my copy of Meg July 2013 issue my most sulit buy of the month! So hurry, buy a copy and run to the One Mega Group office ASAP! :D

Helen

Etude House Haul + Meg's "The Big Korean Beauty Issue"

My fondness for Etude House just goes on and on. I've talked about the Sweet Recipe launch and collection, and now here's a haul as I replenished some of my essentials. (Truth to be told, I purchased these products just because I wanted to get the GWP! Am I the only one who does this? Please tell me I'm not alone. Haha!)

Etude House Haul

Etude House Lash Perm Proof Mascara (Washable) (P578.00)

I use a non-waterproof mascara everyday. I actually prefer non-waterproof mascaras because I'm too lazy for those hard-to-remove mascaras at the end of the day. One catch though, I want my non-waterproof mascara to wash off as solid fibers and not melt off on my face. This one from Etude House is washable yet smudge-proof, and is super easy to clean.

Etude House Happy Essential Foam (Collagen) (P228.00)

The Happy Essential Foam range replaced my favorite Happy Teatime Cleansing Foam range. Even if I have oily skin, I didn't choose the variants that are meant for oily skin (like Witch Hazel and White Clay). I opted for Collagen, which gives the skin a more youthful appearance. I hope I made the right choice. Will let you know of course, once I have started using this.

Etude House Happy Teatime Lemon Tea Cleansing Cream (P198.00)

I bought a backup tub of my all-time favorite makeup remover just because I didn't want to risk it going out of stock just in case I finally needed it.

Nymph Aura Set (GWP)

And this is the reason behind my haul. For every P1,000.00 purchase in Etude House kiosks in department stores, you'd get this cute and functional Nymph Aura Set. (Will do a separate post on this!) And if you're thinking of buying in stores just because you want that pink Etude House paper bag, the department store kiosk has them, too! All you have to do is ask. :D

The last item is obviously not from Etude House, but since I'm currently on a Korean-beauty product phase, this issue of Meg came just in time. For March 2013, it's the big Korean beauty issue featuring Jessy Mendiola on the cover. (So pretty!)

Hope you like this Korean-inspired haul! Any recent hauls you'd like to share with me? :)

Love,
Helen

On A (Fragrance) Roll

Early this month, I realized that I'm on a roll when it comes to luck with winning fragrances (not just colognes, but designer fragrances!). This had led me to think and sniff (whether I smell bad or not). Haha! Just kidding! It's no secret that I love reading magazines, and I don't really care from which publication it is, whether local or international, as long as it's good and I get my money's worth! I get my monthly dose of kikay goodness (plus a little loot on the side) from these magazines.

I bought the May 2012 issue of Cosmopolitan with Anne Curtis on the cover (which was their 15th anniversary issue). I had to get it because anniversary issues of magazines are good and jam-packed (most of the time). While this one from Cosmo was half-filled with ads and semi-naked hunks, I'm not complaining because of this.

Being the contest junkie that I am, I had to join! They gave away prizes from different brands every 2 days, and I joined on the days that I liked what they were giving away.

And then one day, I received an e-mail telling me that I won a Carolina Herrera Eau de Parfum! Even if I had no idea how it smelled like, I was still excited. Who wouldn't be? :D

Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Eau de Parfum and Clutch Bag

Thank you, Cosmo!

For the month of June, I bought Meg with Marian Rivera on the cover because it's their 14th anniversary issue. (See? I'm all for the "anniversary issues"!) I wasn't really paying attention to the ads, but then I saw this page at the last minute (which was the last day of the month, and the deadline of the submission of entries).

I composed an email answering this question, and saw an announcement on iammeg.ph after a few days, with my name and answer on it (together with 2 other lucky ladies)!

J. Del Pozo HWN Fever Eau de Parfum

Thank you, Meg!

My mom who once told me that magazines were a waste of money now tells me that I can buy them every month. Haha! Now the question is, which one to use first. What do you think? :)

Helen

Meg Big Deals: Freebies in the July Issue!

I'm a beauty and fashion magazine junkie, so every month I always have to have at least one or two new magazines to satisfy my craving. Most of the time I buy the current issues of local magazines, but sometimes I also get back issues of international magazines because they're too pricey to be bought on the current month (P600 for a magazine, anyone?). What I'll share with you now is my most sulit buy of the month: it's Meg Magazine July 2012 issue with Erich Gonzales on the cover! When they said that this is The Big Deal Issue, they really meant it. I particularly loved the spend vs. save beauty feature because it gave me ideas on what products to try next. I also love the interesting features and articles, and the cute rainy day fashion in this packed issue.

Meg Magazine July 2012

As I was reading the magazine from cover to cover, I came across this page!

Meg Big Deals!

For the entire month (until supplies last), Meg was giving away items from Defensil & Kojie.san, Etude House, Zen Zest, Jergens, Caronia, Cose, and Divoom & Accutone. If you have a copy of the July issue, then dash to the One Mega Group office in Ortigas to claim your freebies. Whatever is available at the time of claiming will be given to you, so the earlier you claim, the more items you'll get.

Last week, I went to their office and got these freebies instantly!

Etude House Precious Mineral Sun BB Cream

Zen Zest Cherry Cheesecake Eau de Cologne
Zen Zest Bellini Hand Sanitizer
Zen Zest Lip Balm

Cose Printed Saddle Bag

Now isn't that a big deal? ;) Go grab your copies of Meg's July issue now and visit iammeg.ph for more info on Meg Big Deals.

Thanks for the generous treat, Meg! :)

Love,
Helen
