Purederm Aloe Collagen Mask

Just last weekend, we had a hotpot party at my friend's place, and the dinner turned into an impromptu slumber party. I wasn't prepared at all: no skincare products at hand + sleeping during the wee hours of the morning + waking up early = dull, lackluster skin with a mini pimple on my nose. :\

As I went home and rummaged through my skincare stash, I saw this face mask I received a few months ago. It's been ages since I last used one, so now is really the perfect time to put it to the test!

Purederm Aloe Collagen Mask

Purederm is a Korean brand, and I trust Korean skincare products to work for my Asian skin, better than Western brands. Sorry not sorry! It's just that, it takes one to know one right? :D

Ingredients:

Pros:
  • It comes in a cute "bottle" sachet.
  • Manufacturing date is indicated on the packaging, and this one expires 3 years after the manufacturing date.
  • It's really moist and packed with skin-nourishing essence.
  • The essence is non-sticky, almost watery. I had to wipe my face with tissue a bit after removing the mask since my face felt so wet.
  • The mask felt so relaxing and it soothed my skin.
  • Redness from my skin was reduced.
  • It contains aloe and collagen - both known to be beneficial for the skin.
  • Not highlighted but also listed in the ingredients list are also anise fruit extract, green tea left extract, and witch hazel water, and Vitamin E.
  • It's affordable!

Cons:
  • The mask sheet is thin and flimsy. I accidentally tore the side of it with my fingernail while putting it on.

Price: P59.75
Available at Watsons

I used this at night before going to sleep. My skin looked instantly better, more well-rested and even, and the redness on the mini pimple (I just popped) has subsided by the time I woke up.

Our boss at work isn't kikay, but she swears by this particular face mask as her beauty secret. As for me, I'm thankful to have discovered and tried it as well. I've seen this countless times at Watsons, but never really cared until now. And because I liked it, I repurchased just this week! ♥

Whenever I go to Watsons, Korean beauty stores, or Beauty Bar, I always get lost into their face mask shelves and enter the world of Aloe, Collagen, Tea Tree, and even Bee Venom and Snail Mucus. Haha! Is it just me, or do you also get really excited when you hear of "hidden gem" face masks? ;)

Love,
Helen

  1. I was wondering why I don't know about this mask even though it's found in Watson's, which I've stalked for masks. Yun pala it's 59. Over my budget na, hahaha!

    1. Andami palang face masks sa Watsons! Kakatuwa! Sana mas mura siya konti, pero for me okay lang yung price. :)

  2. I love using face masks too. I've tried the Pearl one from this brand. I agree that the mask sheet is a little thin but that little flaw is forgivable because it works well and doesn't skimp on the amount of essence. :)

    1. Highlighter (for makeup) or Snowcaps gluta (if you're into whitening). I wake up to good skin when I have a long sleep and when I use a potent moisturizer. For basic cleansing, I'm currently liking Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel, it makes my skin look nice and healthy. Will post a review within the week. :)

  5. How often do you use this mask? And can you recommend other products from watson that can actually minimize pores?
    Thanks :D

    1. I use different types of mask 1-2x every 2 weeks. I have yet to find a pore minimizing product from Watsons, but I've tried a sheet mask made with bio-cellulose material (somewhat like a bio-jelly mask) and it instantly shrank my pores after I removed it! :D
