Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk in JPK002

Say hello to the prettiest and most princess-like lipstick in my makeup kit - it's Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lip-stalk. Since the launch of the Sweet Recipe range last March, a lot of my readers have been so curious about this product. I have good news for you, because this lipstick is now available in all Etude House stores in the Philippines!

Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk in JPK002 (P478.00)
Jelly-textured lipstick supplies moist shine and sweet colors for long wear comfort

About the Product:

The Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk comes in 8 translucent shades (Juicy Lychee Skin, Syrupy Strawberry Candy, O! Sweet & Sour Orange, Chewy Mango Mango, Slice of Sour Lemon, Sweet Cotton Candy Munch, Grapefruit Syrup Tutti, Sweet Plum Flavored Candy). All shades have a moist, glossy finish with a fruit jelly fragrance. My shade, being JPK002 (Syrupy Strawberry Candy) smells exactly like sweet strawberry jellybeans! These lipstick also has xylitol for sweet flavor, though I hardly notice any flavor/taste to it - just the yummy scent. Like the Sweet Recipe Candy Stick, this lipstick also contains bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple, orange, and lemon extracts to keep the lips soft and supple.

Like I mentioned, this lipstick has the prettiest packaging! Actually almost all Etude House products have pretty packaging. This one comes in a simple white tube with a ring near the base, which gives it that pop of color.

If you look closely, they resemble jellybeans! Plus, each shade of lipstick from this range comes with a corresponding "jellybean" color, so you'd know the shade of the lipstick even without having to open the case.

The JPK002 shade looks bright red on the tube, but it's actually a sheer reddish pink shade. Also, look at the intricate heart and crown embossed on the body of the lipstick. It's so pretty!

Swatches (on natural lighting, no flash):

JPK002 is a sheer, translucent reddish pink shade. Because of the jelly texture of this lipstick, it melts on your lips upon contact, creating that glossy, moist finish. There's no need for lip balm prior to using this - that I am certain of! But do take time to exfoliate your lips before wearing this lipstick as it can emphasize dry flaky lips, and the color won't settle as nicely as it should.

While this shade gives a beautiful pinkish tint to the lips, the formula isn't long lasting. It has the tendency to bleed/creep out of the lipline, so do apply carefully. Also, the color gets easily rubbed off, so you'd have to reapply after you eat or drink.

When Worn:

Overall, I'm very much liking this shade of Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk. I wouldn't say the same for other shades though, since this range has all sheer shades, and that this one is already the darkest, most pigmented shade in the bunch. I love how this shade it adds color to my face instantly and effortlessly, and I can't get over how deliciously fruity it smells! Because of that, I don't mind reapplying throughout the day. If you want to get one, choose JPK002 Syrupy Strawberry Candy! (This is also the exact lippie Krystal is wearing for the Etude House Sweet Recipe ads!)

  2. Packaging looks really pretty and I also love the shade you got. Sayang it can be rubbed off kaagad which is a real con for someone who is always on the go like me. But what the heck! Hahaha! It's fun to try stuff every once in awhile esp if you'd be having something as cute as this in your makeup stash. Haha!

Thanks for the review, Helen! :)
