Entry Preview: Ensembles Wear My Design Contest

Calling all designers (and even aspiring ones)! Don't miss the chance on joining Ensembles' first ever Wear My Design contest! You can still submit your entries until June 30, 2012. Ensembles has been receiving lots of great designs, and you can still be part of it! Winning pieces will be part of Ensembles Spring 2013 Dresses Collection (which means ultimate bragging rights!) Winners will also get media exposure thru broadsheets and other social media sites, and receive cash prizes, gift certificates, and generous gifts from VMV Hypoallergenics, Piandre Salon, and Bo's Coffee.

For now, here's an sneak preview of some of the designs that were submitted to Ensembles. I love wearing dresses so I'm excited to see how creative these designers could get.

Working Girls by Ivan Ruiz
Cream and black pencil cut dress tailored with bold pink chiffon at the hem

Under The Sun by Ruth Lane Dela Peña
Chiffon weaved chest with sweetheart dress and detachable sleeves

Futuristic Spring by Michelle Sarmiento
Black and gray satin dress with gray belt

I already have a favorite among these three pretty dresses. Guess what it is. :> (It's easy, just look for my favorite color!) I sure hope that these amazing dresses will also come in small sizes like XS (hint! hint!) so petite girls like me could wear them too.

For the complete mechanics and rules of the Wear My Design Contest, visit the Ensembles website. Don't forget to like Ensembles on Facebook and follow them on Twitter and Pinterest!

Helen

Sketch Surprise

Yesterday, I received a wonderful surprise from my friend Nicole of Axon and Dendrites. We haven't met yet, but we became friends thru blogging and talking about kikay and random stuff. I got so touched when she showed me this!

It's the first time that someone drew me for real. She even got the curls and the pink lipstick in detail! I'm not as creative as her and how I wish I were, since I could only draw stick figures. Haha! I am super duper amazed and happy with this. :)

Thanks so much, Nicole! I hope we could meet soon!

Love,
Helen

Snoe Magic Apple Whitening S-rub

Body scrubs are my guilty pleasure. I only get to use it during the weekend when I take an extra long bath. My current scrub is Snoe Magic Apple Whitening S-rub. I like it because it does its job on exfoliating my body, and it has whitening/brightening properties to boot. And take a look at the packaging, very Snow White inspired right?

Snoe Magic Apple Whitening S-rub

About the product:

I initially just planned to use this for my problem areas (like underarms, elbows, and knees) but I couldn't help it so I used it on my entire body. This one is supposed to be used while the skin is dry and no rinsing is required, but I'm not comfortable with that so I use this as a regular body scrub. I leave it on for 5 minutes (or more), and rinse as usual. After using this, my skin appeared brighter since the gritty (but never harsh) scrubs got rid of all the dead skin cells. I love how soft and fragrant my skin feels afterwards! (Think: fresh, crisp apples!)

I'm planning to get another tub of this as mine's about to run out. Each tub of Snoe Magic Apple Whitening S-rub is priced at P179.00. I'm also eying Snoe's new Under Armed Forces Whitening Cream (P499.00) . I bet these two will be a perfect combo for white and bright underarms. ;)

What are your Snoe faves? Do share!

Love,
Helen
