Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Collection (Limited Edition)

After being over-the-moon happy (and impressed) with Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipsticks, I'm back again with a review from another makeup range of theirs.

I actually got really excited when I found out that Bianca Valerio (being the Chief Makeup Artist of Colour Collection) has collaborated with the brand to create her very own limited edition makeup line. For all I know, Bianca V. knows makeup like the back of her hand, and she wouldn't want her name associated with anything chaka, so I know I am in good hands!

Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Collection (Limited Edition)

This time around, Colour Collection's packaging came in white and metallic pink. Totally fresh and chic. Gotta love that kiss mark! :-*

Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Sexy Silk Blush & Contour Duo in Sweetheart

Two blendable blush-on shades to give your skin a natural, healthy glow.

I love that the compact came with a big mirror and no mini blush brush (something I almost always throw away). They dedicated more space for the product itself instead.

Blush | Bronzer

Sweetheart blush, when worn

It may not show on this shot, but the blush is on the pinkish red side, which mimics the natural rosy flush one obtains while working out. This shade would suit most skintones! Also, the bronzer that comes with is isn't too orangey. I'm new to contouring so I just used the bronzer here to contour my noseline. This blush-on duo would last for about half a day, so retouching is a must.

Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Hot Kiss Lipstick

in Kisses with Cream & Runway Red

A modern matte lipstick that provides full-bodied, velvety color in a highly pigmented and non-drying formula.

Kisses with Cream | Runway Red

The Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Hot Kiss Lipstick Collection comes in 4 basic shades (in nude, peach, pink, and red) every woman must own. I have with me the nude and red shade.

At first sight, the nude shade bored me since it looked more brown on my skin, but when I tried it on my lips, I had a change of heart. What's amazing is that the Kisses with Cream shade is just like my lips. I would hate to use to overused term MLBB (My Lips But Better) for this, but it really is. Look!

Bare Lips vs. Kisses with Cream

Kisses with Cream

Kisses with Cream is just like an enhanced version of my lips. I love this shade and I use it as a tinted lip balm because even with its matte finish, it's still moisturizing. (How is that possible?!) This nude lipstick doesn't make me look pale or sick, and it doesn't me me look like I'm wearing makeup either. I just love it!

Runway Red

Runway Red is a shade that's for the more daring. It's a traffic-stopping unique pinkish red shade that looks stunning, but I don't think it's for everyday use. It's really gorgeous though, don't you agree? ;) The shade doesn't look like the reds I already have in my kit, so it's special like that. :D

From what I've experienced, both lippies smell like vanilla (love!) are very pigmented and non-drying. Runway Red lasts longer and stains the lips red, while Kisses with Cream doesn't leave a hint of tint behind.

I'm loving the Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Collection, but the only downside to this collection is that it's limited edition. You have to grab it now before it's gone!

Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipsticks (New Shades for Summer 2014)

Whenever I think of summer makeup trends, all things bright and colorful come to mind. I think summer's carefree vibe makes us more adventurous when it comes to experimenting with makeup looks. As usual, the only bright makeup I would dare wear on a regular basis are lipsticks.

For Summer 2014, Colour Collection, the premium cosmetics brand of Tupperware Brands, one of the country’s leading direct selling companies, launched 5 new summer-ready shades for its Ultimate Wear Lipstick collection.

Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipsticks

Ingredients:

The ingredients, shade name, and manufacturing date are all printed on the sleek black and gold box.

Presenting the 5 new shades: Headturner, Temptress, Queen Bee, Bellissima, and Angelic.

The lipstick comes in a lightweight and slim black tube with a see-through window for easy shade identification.

Swatches:

Headturner | Temptress | Queen Bee | Bellissima | Angelic

Each shade has a staining effect, which means that the color would last on your lips for hours! I tried to remove the swatches using an oil-based makeup remover and facial wash, and the stain won't budge.

Headturner

Headturner is a hot pink shade is similar (but tamer) compared to Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick once the color sets on my lips.

Temptress

Queen Bee

Temptress is the deepest, blue-based red shade from the range, while Queen Bee is a bright red shade. With shades as dramatic as these, you'll look made up in no time!

Queen Bee, blotted once with tissue

Tip: One trick I've been using with these lippies is to apply then blot once with a tissue. Blotting removes the sheen and leaves your lips with a very pretty matte stain that lasts for hours!

Bellissima

One the tube, Bellissima looked like a half-baked red for me. Turns out, it's actually coral. Silly me! :3 Bellissima is an Italian word that actually means very beautiful, and the name is so spot on for this shade. While I though that corals are only for morena skin, it brightens up my face as well! This one's my favorite shade from the range.

Angelic

Angelic is a soft, rosy nude color that's perfect for everyday wear. If you want to look "guy pretty", go for a non-intimidating shade such as this! I actually thought that this would be my favorite shade, but it develops into a darker pink the longer you wear it. While some might like it, I prefer my lipstick to stay true to its shade all day.

Pros:
  • The box has the ingredients list and manufacturing date (printed inside).
  • The lipstick tube is lightweight, slim, and travel friendly.
  • The clear see-through window makes for easy shade identification.
  • Each shade is very pigmented.
  • The lipsticks have a subtle vanilla scent.
  • The lipsticks lasts for up to 8 hours, provided you don't eat oily food.
  • Even if it wears off, it still has that staining effect so you won't end up looking pale.
  • The formula is moisturizing and lightweight; I don't feel like I'm wearing any lipstick with these.
  • It glides on like butter, so there's absolutely no need for a separate lip balm.
  • It doesn't bleed or feather at all.
  • It's affordable.

Cons:
  • You can get this only thru dealers.

Price: P350.00 (but you can get one for FREE now at Sample Room!)
