After being over-the-moon happy (and impressed) with Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipsticks, I'm back again with a review from another makeup range of theirs.
I actually got really excited when I found out that Bianca Valerio (being the Chief Makeup Artist of Colour Collection) has collaborated with the brand to create her very own limited edition makeup line. For all I know, Bianca V. knows makeup like the back of her hand, and she wouldn't want her name associated with anything chaka, so I know I am in good hands!
Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Collection (Limited Edition)
This time around, Colour Collection's packaging came in white and metallic pink. Totally fresh and chic. Gotta love that kiss mark! :-*
Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Sexy Silk Blush & Contour Duo in Sweetheart
Two blendable blush-on shades to give your skin a natural, healthy glow.
I love that the compact came with a big mirror and no mini blush brush (something I almost always throw away). They dedicated more space for the product itself instead.
Blush | Bronzer
Sweetheart blush, when worn
It may not show on this shot, but the blush is on the pinkish red side, which mimics the natural rosy flush one obtains while working out. This shade would suit most skintones! Also, the bronzer that comes with is isn't too orangey. I'm new to contouring so I just used the bronzer here to contour my noseline. This blush-on duo would last for about half a day, so retouching is a must.
Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Hot Kiss Lipstick
in Kisses with Cream & Runway Red
A modern matte lipstick that provides full-bodied, velvety color in a highly pigmented and non-drying formula.
Kisses with Cream | Runway Red
The Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Hot Kiss Lipstick Collection comes in 4 basic shades (in nude, peach, pink, and red) every woman must own. I have with me the nude and red shade.
At first sight, the nude shade bored me since it looked more brown on my skin, but when I tried it on my lips, I had a change of heart. What's amazing is that the Kisses with Cream shade is just like my lips. I would hate to use to overused term MLBB (My Lips But Better) for this, but it really is. Look!
Bare Lips vs. Kisses with Cream
Kisses with Cream
Kisses with Cream is just like an enhanced version of my lips. I love this shade and I use it as a tinted lip balm because even with its matte finish, it's still moisturizing. (How is that possible?!) This nude lipstick doesn't make me look pale or sick, and it doesn't me me look like I'm wearing makeup either. I just love it!
Runway Red
Runway Red is a shade that's for the more daring. It's a traffic-stopping unique pinkish red shade that looks stunning, but I don't think it's for everyday use. It's really gorgeous though, don't you agree? ;) The shade doesn't look like the reds I already have in my kit, so it's special like that. :D
From what I've experienced, both lippies smell like vanilla (love!) are very pigmented and non-drying. Runway Red lasts longer and stains the lips red, while Kisses with Cream doesn't leave a hint of tint behind.
I'm loving the Colour Collection x Bianca Valerio Collection, but the only downside to this collection is that it's limited edition. You have to grab it now before it's gone!
