Tony Moly Skin Cleansing Routine (Aquaporin Sherbet Cleanser & Clean Dew Acerola Foam Cleanser)

My skin isn't too sensitive as I've noticed, since I change up my skincare products often for trial. When a product I try doesn't suit me, I'd know immediately - my face would itch and so I'd wash it off. So far so good, I've never had a breakout with any Tony Moly product. I remember one of my beauty talks with Marge of Kikaytrekkie (if you're looking for Asian cosmetics reviews, her blog is THE site to visit!) over a year ago, she mentioned that Tony Moly has really good skincare products without being pricey. (Take it from the expert!)

My current skin cleansing routine consists of Tony Moly's Aquaporin Sherbet Cleanser and Clean Dew Acerola Foam Cleanser. Thorough removal of makeup is crucial at the end of the day, no matter how tired you are. (Promise, all your efforts will pay off!)

Tony Moly Aquaporin Sherbet Cleanser (P548.00)
Tired of runny cleansing oils or heavy cleansing creams? This summer, try the Aquaporin Sherbet Cleanser, a special oil-based cleanser with a sherbet-like consistency. Removes stubborn makeup just as oil cleanser would, minus the mess. The Aquaporin Shebet Cleanser is ultra-moisturizing which contains Willow Water from the lake, Chlorella from the river, and Plankton and Spirulina from the ocean.

While the packaging is not too helpful without English translations, it does have the manufacturing date printed on it, as well as a thin transparent lid inside.

I was never into oil cleansers since I find them messy (dripping into my eyes!). Aquaporin Sherbet Cleanser is unique - it's a solid oil cleanser that melts on your skin upon contact, but is never runny or messy. This one is actually very ideal for travel since it won't spill, ever! Just transfer it to a smaller pot and you're good to go.

This sherbet cleanser has a balmy, buttery texture with a fresh citrusy scent. By sherbet, I think of a sweet icy treat, but this one doesn't give any cooling sensation.

To take off my makeup, I just massage the Aquaporin Sherbet Cleanser all over my face. Even my most long-wearing foundation comes off quickly with this one. It's so potent but gentle at the same time! Then I tissue it off and slightly rinse my face with water to take off the residue. At this point, my skin feels clean, soft, and hydrated. Then I follow with a foaming cleanser afterwards to make sure everything comes off. (I'd never skip the foaming cleanser since I use an oil-based makeup remover on my oily skin. Leaving it on would be bad news.)

Tony Moly Clean Dew Foam Cleanser
Clean Dew Foam Cleanser is one of TONYMOLY's best sellers. It's infused with natural plant components which harnesses the power of fruits to achieve glowing skin for different skin needs.

Vigorous and healthy - that's what the star ingredient Acerola delivers. Acerola acts as an antioxidant, being extremely rich in Vitamin C; it also contains vitamins A, B1, B2, and B3, as well as carotenoids and bioflavonoids. Other ingredients worth mentioning are green tea and tea tree leaf extracts, both of which work to promote a clear complexion.

I noticed that the formula of this cleanser is a bit more runny than other foaming cleansers I've tried that dispense as solid paste. It lathers well but isn't drying at all. My favorite part is the scent - it smells fruity sweet as cherries/berries. The sweet scent makes for a sensorial face washing experience. Whenever I wash it off, my skin feels refreshed and clean, never dry and tight. I believe it also brightened up by complexion too after weeks of consistent day and night use.

  • Blueberry (Smooth & Radiant) - For NORMAL skin
  • Lemon (Clean & Bright) - For ALL skin types
  • Aloe (Moist & Soothe) - For DRY and SENSITIVE skin
  • Acerola (Vigorous & Healthy) - For DRY skin
  • Red Grapefruit (Refreshing & Elastic) - For NORMAL skin

The truth is I didn't know that this cleanser is recommended for dry skin. (I only found out when I read the press article. LOL) Same case as my previous Tony Moly Clean Dew Olive Seed Foam Cleanser, which was recommended for dry skin also, but has worked very well for my oily skin. So with the Clean Dew range, just go for the scent you prefer since they all work almost the same anyway. Well, at least for me! :D
