Something New: Happy Skin Cosmetics

If you have recently been to Plains & Prints stores in the metro, you may have noticed a new up-and-coming makeup brand in store!

Happy Skin @ Plains & Prints, Glorietta

Happy Skin is a partnership of beauty and expertise. Skincare expert Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez and supermodel Rissa Mananquil-Trillo teamed up to create Happy Skin, an original brand of skin-loving makeup. Happy Skin is proudly a local brand, but the ingredients and products are made in Japan.

What makes Happy Skin different from other beauty brands? Cute and girly packaging aside, they have incorporated actual skin-loving ingredients into their products, such as Cherry Blossom Leaf Extract, Japanese Tea Leaf Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Shea Butter, and Collagen.

Second Skin Crème Silicone Free Foundation (P1,199.00)

This silicone free foundation does not clog pores and is infused with world-famous Japanese Cherry Blossom extract and hyaluronic acid to plump up & smooth out skin. It has a lightweight formula that starts with a silky cream, and then dries into a beautiful, ultra-fine powder finish. It also provides protection with its healthy levels of SPF 20 PA++. Suitable for all skin types including very sensitive skin. It’s amazingly gentle on the skin and can be removed with just a simple facial wash.

Don't Get Mad, Get Even Hydrating Liquid Foundation (P999.00)

This liquid foundation is loaded with Japanese tea extract and hyaluronic acid to plump & smooth skin. It has natural skin-balancing properties that absorb oil, while keeping skin hydrated and fresh. It also provides a veil of UV protection and SPF 20 PA++. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

Don't Get Mad, Get Even Hydrating Powder Foundation (P1,299.00)

This powder foundation is crafted with Japanese tea extract to soothe redness and is infused with SPF 20 PA++. This smart powder fuses the benefits of skincare & makeup innovation. The transforming finishing shade conveniently adapts to your closest natural skin tone.

Eye Need A Miracle Concealer (P699.00)

This concealer is specially-formulated with Japanese Tea extract that moisturizes and fights puffiness. It’s also infused with Hyaluronic Acid, a miracle ingredient that increases hydration in the eye area, smoothening surface imperfections. Its self-adjusting shade provides undetectable coverage across all skin tones.

Get Cheeky With Me Blush (P699.00)

This blusher is infused with Cherry Blossom extracts that locks in moisture and keeps cheeks fresh and hydrated. Both sweat- and smear-proof, it keeps you blushing until you wash it off. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie (P499.00)

This lippie offers three-fold “lip service”: the shine of a gloss, the pigment of a lipstick, and hydration of a balm! Spoil yourself with Shea Butter & Collagen to keep your lips in lip-lockin’ shape!

Brush 'Em Off Girl Makeup Brush Set (P2,499.00)

This 8-piece travel-sized makeup brush set is created from the softest man-made bristles. We opted for superior grade and animal-friendly synthetic bristles so we keep our furry friends happy too. The set includes the most useful kinds of makeup brushes any woman will need! All brushes are safe to use wet or dry.

Each brush set comes with a sky blue pouch (shown below the paper bag). That cute paper bag comes with a minimum P500.00 worth of purchase.

The part I like most about this new makeup brand is that the shades were created to fit Filipina skin tones. Each product is also skincare and makeup combined! My top picks would have to be Second Skin Crème Silicone Free Foundation (since it's silicone-free and can be removed with facial wash alone meant that it has a small (or zero) chance of making me break out), and the Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie!

Happy Skin Cosmetics is available at top Plains & Prints branches in Metro Manila. For the store list, click here. For more information on Happy Skin, you may visit their website or Like Happy Skin on Facebook.

Happy Skin actually reminds me of Snoe and Benefit. Looks like they're up up for some intense but friendly competition! Let's all welcome Happy Skin into our makeup kits! What are your top picks? :D

Love,
Helen

  1. the packaging and concept indeed reminds me of snoe and benefit but its nice that they market their products as "skin loving makeup" as they included skincare benefits into their makeup products. Though its not the first in the market, but I have to acknowledge that at least they determine the trend earlier than other makeup brands out there =)

    1. Yup, it's what makes the brand different and more appealing, since most people are afraid that makeup will harm the skin. Now, it's makeup that's good for the skin. Best of both worlds! :D

  2. The packaging for this brand is so cute! It is a little reminiscent of Benefit. I'm intrigued that some of the products contain Japanese tea extract.

    1. Yes, it does remind me of Benefit too! I'm curious about products with tea in it too since I read it can reduce inflammation.
