Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo

I've reviewed and loved Kiehl's Amino Acid Conditioner before, which you can read here. Now, I have it's partner up for review!

Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo
with Pure Coconut Oil

Amino Acid and Coconut Oil derived cleansers are combined to create a delightful, creamy lather that gently yet thoroughly cleanses the hair. Wheat Proteins and Wheat Starch help add body and fullness while a special blend of moisturizing ingredients impart softness and a healthy shine. Suitable for all hair and scalp types when mildness is desired.

Ingredients:

Pros:
  • It comes in a clear, off-white formula free from artificial colorants.
  • It's also free from silicones and parabens.
  • It has that nice, nostalgic fragrance that lingers after you wash your hair.
  • It lathers well, but it doesn't dry up the hair and scalp. No dry, straw-like hair from this!
  • It's easy to rinse off.
  • Hair doesn't feel stripped off its moisture after washing, but doesn't feel oily either. My hair and scalp feels "balanced" when I use this.
  • Even if I skipped using conditioner, my hair looks fine and not frizzy. (That's a first for my wavy hair!)
  • It made the top (straighter) part of my hair look shiny and healthy. The wavy part on the bottom never did shine unless I use a hair serum. Haha!

Cons:
  • It has Sodium Coco-Sulfate. Even if it's derived from coconuts, it's still a form of sulfate, only less foaming and strong than Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.
  • It's expensive. I think I'll put this as a con for all Kiehl's products I review.

Will I repurchase? Maybe. Despite the price tag, I like it's effect on my hair!
Price: About P1,000.00 for the full-sized bottle
Available in Kiehl's stores at Shangri-La Mall, Greenbelt, Rockwell, Alabang Town Center, SM Mall of Asia, and Trinoma.

I have come in to terms with the fact that most Kiehl's face products doesn't go so well with my face, but I am LOVING their hair care and body care range. Pretty amazing stuff. Now, I have to get rich quickly so I could go on a Kiehl's shopping spree! :D

Love,
Helen

  1. They had this shampoo at a I hotel I stayed at last year and I quite liked it. I tend to prefer Kiehl's hair and body range as well.

    1. You can try hair care product from Human Nature! They're sulfate-free and are very gentle on the hair. I used to be so addicted to them, but I like trying out new stuff too so I could post more reviews. :D
