It was my sister's birthday last Saturday and we celebrated it in Luk Foo, one of our favorite restaurants. (I wrote about it before in this post.)

I'm Now a Human Nature Dealer!

How does my story with Human Nature begin?

I remember being introduced to Human Nature during Blogapalooza. That's when I got to own my very first Human Nature product, the Citrus Burst Spray Sanitizer, which I reviewed here. After a few weeks, I got invited to Human Nature's Read the Label Launch. That event really made me think twice about all the cosmetic products I was using from head to toe. I've been reading a lot of rave reviews about their products, and I wanted to try it for myself for the longest time. Since I did not know any dealer personally, I finally decided to be one myself! Together with my map printout of their office location from Google Maps, I braved the hot weather plus holiday traffic and commuted to their Head Office last Saturday. Good thing I did not get lost! :D

I submitted my dealer application and while waiting, I decided to take some pictures. I like how bright and welcoming their head office looks like. Free coffee with organic sugar was available for those who are waiting, but I did not get one since I can't drink coffee. I have this addiction with body butters. It's been a long time since I used up my last tub from another brand. I like the fact that they made the 50ml size of product available for almost all their products, so the customers could first purchase and try out the "sample" size before committing to the full-sized product. We've become so used to having expensive organic products in the market, but not anymore with Human Nature.

I'm sooo happy and excited to finally be a Human Nature dealer because I love their products and I greatly admire their cause. This is one of the highlights of my month. Haha!

Skin Cravings Smooth Over Body Lotion in Choc' Mint Kisses

WARNING: This product can induce intense food cravings. :O

This is the second installment of my Skin Cravings review. The first post was about Skin Cravings Scrub Me Pretty Body Scrub, which you can read about here. This lotion set was again part of the loot I got from Skin Cravings.

Skin Cravings Smooth Over Body Lotion moisturizes the skin leaving it soft and smooth. It is available in 2 variants: Strawberry Kisses and Choc' Mint Kisses.

Since I like mint chocolate, I used this one first!

The Ingredients:


The Packaging:

• The bottom part is soft and can be squeezed for when you want to dispense some product.
• I like the packaging because it's very hygienic, but it would be better if this lotion came in a tube so it would be more handy and we nothing will be left at the bottom of the bottle.

The Product:

• The scent smells just like minty chocolates!
• A day after using this lotion, I could not contain my cravings anymore and bought a pack of Andes Mint Parfait Thins for myself. Haha!

• It has a light, non-greasy feel.
• Since it's light, I feel that it is not moisturizing enough for my very dry skin.
• Naturally, it's not moisturizing enough for dry and cracked heels.
• I use this at night before I sleep, and in the morning when I shower, I can feel this washing off from my skin, especially when I first wash my hands. It makes me think that this lotion has been just sitting on my skin.
• This is recommended for normal skin that needs basic moisturizing.

Others might appreciate its light texture more than I do. But in spite of its light texture, I find myself using this everyday because of its delicious scent. I can't wait to use the Strawberry Kisses body lotion together with its matching body scrub. I can almost imagine it's sweet, fruity scent by just thinking about it!

Skin Cravings Scrub Me Pretty Body Scrub in Cranberry Yoghurt

Being the fan of body care products that I am, I have body scrub as part of my weekly routine. This serves as my pampering me-time, and I always love the result: soft, smooth, and more even skin tone. This Skin Cravings Scrub Me Pretty set was part of the prizes I won from their Facebook contest last month. You may read about it here.

Skin Cravings Scrub Me Pretty Body Scrubs exfoliate dead skin cells to reveal smoother, brighter skin underneath. It is available in 3 variants: Strawberry Yoghurt, Cranberry Yoghurt, and Dewberry Yoghurt.

The first bottle I tried and will review is Cranberry Yoghurt.

The Ingredients:


The Packaging:

• I love the design, it's very cute and it looks like a bottle of dairy product.
• It comes in a bottle with a wide mouth opening, so its kind of hard to control the amount of product that will come out. It's prone to product wastage.
• However, this packaging is better than a jar or pot since it's more sanitary this way.

The Product:

• The scent is absolutely delectable. It has enough sweetness plus the tang of real yogurt. Try hard not to taste it!
• It leaves a lingering scent on my skin and in the bathroom long after I have finished taking a bath using this.
• I feel that it is more creamy and moisturizing than exfoliating.
• I was quite disappointed with the "scrubs". See the small white/clear and red dots on the swatch above? They are synthetic beads that do not melt or dissolve on your skin. They stay like that even until they go down the drain, which may likely harm marine life when they ingest it.
• However, synthetic beads and scrubs won't be too abrasive on the skin because they are round and not irregular shaped (e.g. crushed natural ingredients).
• This scrub does not dry the skin out.

Belle de Jour 2012 Power Planner

Last time, I posted about great reasons to be at the Belle de Jour Fair. You may read about it here. I was not able to take much pictures because I was lining up from one booth to another, plus it was sweltering hot and there were loads of other BDJ girls. I'm not complaining though, sunny days are way better than rainy days.
