Virginia Olsen Minerals - Now In The Philippines!

A glance at my stash would reveal safe, neutral colors for eyeshadows - perfect for everyday wear, yes. But then, sometimes I still crave for that extra oomph for days when I want to get all glammed up.

A few days ago, I received these mineral eyeshadow samples from Virginia Olsen Minerals. I was so drawn to these two jewel-toned shades: Jirbie (teal with gold shimmer) and Winter Orchids (violet with silver shimmer). It's actually my first time to try mineral makeup in loose powder form, which takes a few practices to get used to, since I've been using compact eyeshadows since forever.

Virginia Olsen Minerals is 100% natural, without any parabens, bismuth, talc, and fragrances. None of those fillers that not only adds bulk to the makeup, but may also cause caking, creasing, skin irritation, rashes, and allergic reactions. The ultra-smooth texture of Virginia Olsen Minerals provides sheer, natural coverage. It is weightless, long-wearing, water-resistant, and it provides naturally high UVA and UVB protection (due to the zinc oxide and titanium oxide).

Both shades remind me of peacock-inspired eye makeup. The smoky eye is a winter trend almost every year, but this time, Vogue saw the look in new and interesting color combinations.  It was green, purple and bronze at Roberto Cavalli. This is the look I'm planning to achieve with the shades that I got.

We don't have fall and winter here in the Philippines, but that won't stop us beauty junkies from falling in love with the season's makeup trends, such as this fun and vibrant smoky eye look!

Virginia Olsen Minerals has an extensive and affordable product line, which includes foundations, blushers, eyeshadows, eyeliners, primers, finishing veils, concealers, HD makeup base, and makeup brushes. Love,
Helen

    1. Yup, buti nakaabot ako sa cutoff nila. :) Loose pigments takes some getting used to though, medyo messy kasi iapply. Pero super nice ng colors nila!

    1. Hello! I was supposed to comment on your post but Disqus isn't working properly. The color payoff from your swatches look awesome when used with a primer!

      Followed your blog, too! :)
