I don't think I'll ever get tired of trying out new lipsticks.💄 I've been on a matte liquid lipstick phase for so long, so these tubes of SilkyGirl Go Matte Lipcolor are a very welcome break. These lipsticks are formulated with shea butter, safflower oil, and papaya extract to moisturize, nourish, and smoothen lips. 💋
What I like most about SilkyGirl is that they never test on animals. These lipsticks are free from carmine and contain no fragrance, so they're safe even for sensitive lips. The Go Matte Lipcolor comes in a lightweight plastic packaging with a clear panel so you can see the actual bullet/shade inside. The cap is secure. 👍 I honestly don't like the cheap feel of the packaging as I've seen this type of tube before from other similarly inexpensive brands, but for its price and performance you really can't complain. What's inside is more important. 😉
07 Daring Pink | 08 Foxy Red | 09 Loud Fuchsia | 10 Spicy Marsala
Go Matte Lipcolor is originally available in six shades, and these 4 bold shades I'm reviewing today are their newest additions – 07 Daring Pink, 08 Foxy Red, 09 Loud Fuchsia, and 10 Spicy Marsala.

My first impression of the Go Matte Lipcolors: Why aren't they matte? 😮 They have a super smooth, buttery glide and a slight sheen. They're not matte, but they sure make my lips look pretty! They're vivid and pigmented. 07 Daring Pink shows up close to an apple red on my arm, but looks like a friendly shade of red with hints of pink on the lips. First time red lipstick users would appreciate this! 08 Foxy Red is not red. It's more coral to me, and is the most natural looking and most wearable among the 4 shades. 09 Loud Fuchsia is a gorgeous barbie pink shade which instantly brightens up my face. 10 Spicy Marsala is a very 90s inspired brown lipstick that's very sophisticated. It's a very unique shade since I'm used to SilkyGirl releasing pinks and reds but not this kind of brown. I love it, and I bet it will look even more stunning on morena skin tone.
I'm fine with the slightly shiny finish of these because they're indeed moisturizing and they make my lips look healthy, but if you want to mattify it completely you just have to blot it out with tissue and you're good to go. It feels light and wears comfortably throughout the day. As for the lasting power, it leaves a pinkish stain on the lips even if most of the lipstick comes off after a full meal. There's nothing retouch can't fix, but at least it won't leave you looking pale.
