Explore Your #PossibilitiesWithBoost

When you're stuck in traffic you see all sorts of things on the road. One particular billboard I spotted struck me. It's not an ad, but a message that said...

Love your parents.
We are so busy growing up, we often forget that they are also growing old.

I AM SO GUILTY. At the start of 2017, I decided to go back to the corporate world and my work schedule has been crazy. I'm not working the night shift, but when I wake up my parents aren't home anymore, and when I get home my Dad is already asleep and I just see my Mom for a few minutes before she goes to sleep, too. Right now, Sunday is my only free day so I do my best to make it up to them by going out with them even when I just want to rest. (Don't get me wrong though, I like my job and I see it as a blessing. I just long for family time.) 💞

I'm not getting any younger, and so are my parents. When I look at them closely, I see how much they have aged and I can't help but feel a bit sad. Thankfully, they're still energetic! 💪

Many may associate those in their 50s and above to be slowing down in life. This mindset only hinders people from doing many things they can still achieve. A positive shift in thinking is what we all could use. As for our parents, with the age of wisdom comes new possibilities that will encourage one to never stop exploring.

I'm happy to introduce Boost, a nutritional powdered supplement drink from Nestle Health Science is specially formulated for adults 50 and up to address their nutritional needs as they age in order to get the most out of life - to live up and be their best. Instead of just ordinary milk, why not level it up?

Research shows that special nutrition may help to manage the normal changes our bodies go through during life. It is important to consider that nutritional needs tend to evolve with time and gradual changes in lifestyle, dietary habits, and metabolism often develop. That is why Nestle Health Science developed the Boost range. It takes into consideration what nutrition may be lacking in the diets of adults 50 and up, and these oral nutritional supplements can positively impact their nutritional intake to help them stay healthy and active.

Nestle Boost Energis
for Vitality, Energy, and Strength (P595 for 480g)

Nestle Boost Mobilis
for Joints, Bones, and Muscles (P595 for 405g)

Nestle Boost Optimum (formerly Nutren Optimum)
for Immunity, Digestive Health, and Muscle Strength (P797 for 400g, P1,560 for 800g)

I'm personally not taking Nestle Boost, but my parents now are. It is recommended to drink Boost 1-2 times a day, as part of a balanced diet. It's better to have 5 small meals a day and not let ourselves go hungry because then, the body will start to store fat to have some energy on reserve. Eating one big meal for lunch or dinner is not wise because we pack all the calories in one go. Hence, Boost is perfect for your in-between meals. Just put in in your shaker, add water, and go!

Today's lesson is that as you age, your life shouldn't slow down, and neither should you. By making your own healthy choices, you can take charge of your own life. I'm grateful that Nestle Health Science understands healthy ageing really well. Live the best you possibly can and discover more of life's #possibilitieswithBOOST!
