Physiogel Lotion

The cool days came late for the Philippines. Before, we would feel the cool breeze come December, but it's just now in mid-January that we're experiencing (and enjoying) the cool weather. That's climate change for y'all, but how I wish this kind of weather would last forever!

But then, my skin doesn't agree with me again. The skin around my body gets dry and flaky in this kind of weather. I'm glad I came across Physiogel Lotion, which I consider my skin saver for the cold weather.

Physiogel Lotion

Physiogel Lotion contains natural lipids which are similar to the skin's physiological lipids to protect and restore healthy skin. To give you more background on this skincare brand that is most recommended by dermatologists, feel free to read my post about Physiogel Beauty Experts Fair.

About the product:

What's unique about Physiogel Lotion is that it has the patented Derma Membrane Structure (DMS) that mimics the natural lipid composition of the skin. This helps the skin retain moisture, prevent dryness, and protects against the external factors that could affect our skin's health.

Ingredients:

Directions: Apply once or twice daily. If necessary, it may be used more often. Ideal for the entire body.

Pros:
  • It's hypoallergenic.
  • It's non-comedogenic.
  • It contains no colorants, perfume, and preservatives.
  • It's paraben-free.
  • The manufacturing and expiry dates are printed on both the box and bottle.
  • Despite the fact that it has no preservatives, its shelf life is 3 years.
  • The lotion has a light, fluid texture that easily spreads on the skin.
  • It hydrates the skin without the heavy feel.
  • It has absolutely no scent. It's the first time for me to use a lotion without even a tinge of smell. It's very ideal for those with sensitive skin (and nose).
  • Because it doesn't have fragrance, it doesn't trigger skin allergies.
  • The hydrating effect does last longer than conventional lotions. I apply this lotion all over my hands and body at night, and in the morning I can still feel my hands all soft! (I have rough labandera hands, may I add.) Even if I wash my hands and take a bath in the morning, I don't feel the lotion getting rinsed off, and my skin isn't as dry as it normally is.

Cons:
  • It's expensive, but I don't mind shelling out more for something that works.

Tips:
  • Apply Physiogel Lotion right after bathing to lock in moisture.
  • Store the lotion below 30ÂșC.

Price: P649.00/200ml
Physiogel is available in leading drugstores and department stores nationwide.

  4. I prefer the Intensive Cream for when my skin gets really parched. 'Cause right before that point, I would rather live with semi-dry skin than slather lotion on :P

    1. Haha! My sister is like that too! Parang once a week lang siya mag lotion, pag dry na dry na talaga skin niya. :)) I have to try that Intensive Cream, it might be the answer to my (kinda) dry heels. Di kaya ng light lotions eh.
