Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Highlighter

Highlighters are my sneaky way to faking radiant skin, however I have oily skin so I steer clear of liquid formulas so I won't end up looking shiny at the end of the day. I love powder highlighters because they suit my skin type best.

I love white chocolate, so you could only imagine my excitement when I saw this! It even has a subtle chocolate scent, so what's not to love?

Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Highlighter
Cream-colored highlighter comes in three shades and white chocolate bar design

This white chocolate-toned highlighter comes with subtle pearls that provide shimmery skin. It's a pearl-infused highlighter with a wax coating for long-lasting expression.

This powder highlighter comes with a lot of product in it, 13g to be exact. Even if I use it everyday, I doubt that I'd finish this before it expires. (It has a standard shelf life of 24 months.) While the packaging is totally cute, I wish it wasn't made of cardboard so it would be more durable. I've had mine for months and it looks battered already in my kit.

This highlighter comes in gradation of 3 white, cream, and frosting tones.

It has a soft, creamy and powdery texture that feels velvety on the pan. This one's best applied using a highlighter brush for a lighter, more natural touch.

Swatches:

Beige | White | Pink

Each shade has a subtle difference in tint. The beige one  I use for my nose area, the white one on my eye area, and the pink one on the cheek area. That's just my usage preference, but they don't look too different from each other when worn.

When worn:

I like using the pinkish shade on top of my cheekbones.

The beige shade I use on the tips of my nose bridge.

Here, I just used a BB cream and Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Highlighter. It's an added step to my makeup routine, but I don't mind since it gives me that radiant look instantly! For my daily work makeup, I just moisturize, dust some pressed powder on my face, and proceed to highlighter. Done!

If you think this one's cute, Etude House also has a brown chocolate version of this palette that you can use on your eyes and brows!

  1. Etude House really has the cutest packaging! I'm interested in the chocolate eyes more since I can do eyeshadows passably, but I haven't tried highlighting yet. Maybe that should be my goal this year! :D

    1. I suck at eyeshadows, but I like the chocolate eyes kit since I can also use it for my brows. Oh you should try highlighting! I just love the instant glow it gives. ♥

  3. it's totally cute and the fact that is has chocolate is !!!! (I love chocolate) too bad the packaging is not that sturdy, there are some products that are in a cardboard but still seems to be sturdy. the end result is good, you look radiant :)

    1. I love chocolates kaya winner talaga to sakin. Haha :D Now if only mas matibay yung packaging. But then, the good side of it is that it's really lightweight and kahit mahulog mo siya, di massmash yung powder highlighter sa loob. Gotta love the magic of highlighters! :)
