Vanilla Cupcake Bakery, Trinoma

My sisters and I just had a cupcake date in Vanilla Cupcake Bakery. In Trinoma, there are 2 branches of Vanilla Cupcake Bakery - the first one an indoor "kiosk" in front of Chicago Popcorn and the newer one, which is an actual store at the Garden Restaurants area.

We were supposed to go to the store since it was bigger with a prettier ambiance, but it was fully booked, and the crew weren't friendly or helpful at all. They only told us that no seats were available, and turned their backs on us. Crazy. They could have offered to list down our names for waiting or offered their products for takeout instead. Even if we were turned off with the staff, our cravings for cupcakes got the best of us so we went to their indoor kiosk instead. Thankfully, there was an empty table, and the crew was okay!

Before our cupcakes arrived, we were served cold water in these adorable ice cream cone cups! The rest of the stuff and store decors were cute, especially the furniture like tables and mismatched chairs.

My sister usually has their Red Velvet Cupcakes, but we tried out other flavors for a change.

Vanilla Iced Tea (P75.00)

I'm liking this huge serving of iced tea with hints of vanilla flavor, served in this cool glass container.

Coffee Walnut Salted Caramel (P80.00)

Since I like anything salted caramel, I ordered the Coffee Walnut Salted Caramel. The cupcake has a coffee/mocha flavor with walnut bits inside. While the cupcake itself wasn't moist, it wasn't too dry or crumbly as well. I loved the salted caramel cream icing on top! It's really good and it's what makes this cupcake special. But still, I think it's overpriced.

Classic S'mores Cupcake (P85.00)

Take a look at this pretty cupcake! I think the gold foil cup adds a touch of sophistication to this one. Like the Coffee Walnut Salted Caramel, the cupcake isn't moist nor dry, and the gritty sugary marshmallow topping compensates for the plain chocolate cupcake underneath all the decors.

I love Vanilla Cupcake Bakery because they have the cutest cupcake designs, but I think they still have to improve the quality of the cupcakes - like make it more moist and chewy! We'd all appreciate that, don't we? I'd still try and buy other flavors, but when I'm not in the mood to experiment, I go for the tried and tested Red Velvet Cupcake.

Love,
Helen
