The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex Aqua Tint in Juicy Red

I've revisited a makeup product that I used to love when I was in high school - cheek tint! Blame it on the magazines I have read, as they've all declared the lip and cheek tint as a must have in every girl's kikay kit.

Why revisit? It has been a while since I used one. Cheek tints give the most natural post-workout flush we all desire, but are made for those with flawless skin - as they emphasize existing pimples and post-acne scars on the face. I used to have breakouts on my face - pimples and whiteheads that made my skin rough and uneven. Now that my skin has cleared up, I gave cheek tint another try. I'm happy to say that it's now a mainstay in my beauty arsenal!

The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex Aqua Tint in Juicy Red (P295.00)
The water-based Aqua Lip & Cheek Tint is a water-based tint to create a natural flush of bitten lips and pinched cheeks.

My favorite lip and cheek tint as of the moment is The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex Aqua Tint! The tube says, "my lips eat cherry", which is so cute and catchy! Other products from the Lovely Me:ex range have cute packaging as this.

It comes in two shades, and the one I got is in 02 Juicy Red (which gives a lovely pinkish blush). The other shade is more on the peach side.

It comes with a typical doe-foot applicator for hassle-free application.

Tips:

It's a must to moisturize prior to applying cheek tints to make it easier to blend. But sometimes, liquid cheek stain formulas have the tendency to easily dry (if not immediately blended on to the skin upon contact), therefore resulting to streaky application, even with moisturized skin. I'll share with you a handy tip when it comes to applying cheek tint.

Take a small amount of your favorite moisturizer (preferably with SPF) and cheek tint. My favorite moisturizer/sunblock is Belo Essentials SunExpert Face Cover SPF40.

When you mix the two, the intensity of the red cheek tint is diluted with the white moisturizer - resulting to a pink cream blush!

Add more cheek tint to get the desired intensity/shade. Once you get the color right, dab on to your cheeks as a normal cream blush. This technique gives you less room for streaks and errors as the cream blush blends on like a dream, and you still get rosy cheeks that last all day!

When worn:

I love how the Lovely Me:ex Aqua Tint gives me a rosy, healthy flush that looks lit from within!

This cheek stain lasts all day - perfect for the busy holiday season when we barely even have the time to retouch but want to look fresh.

Lovely Me:ex Aqua Tint makes for a super nice stocking-stuffer this Christmas season - it's cute, affordable, and it works! Check this out next time you drop by any of The Face Shop stores nationwide.

    1. Ako naman I super love Etude House. Hahaha! My sister is using the Dear Darling Tint, and she loves it as well. I only use cutesy makeup from TFS kasi most skincare I've tried from them make me break out. This one works nicely on the cheeks, but not so much for the lips. Di ko mablend eh! :o
