Are You a Beauty with Heart?

The Body Shop launched their newest campaign Beauty With Heart along with exciting new products. The Body Shop is well known for their body butters - with Mango being their first one and my first love! I myself have been a fan since I was in high school (and now I am already working, so you do the math). They repackaged their core body butters to this fresh, youthful new look. It's simple yet striking as it highlights the key ingredient each variant contains. The logo surrounding the key ingredient "protects" the natural ingredient within, and that symbolizes The Body Shop's care for the planet. And as always, the packaging is 100% recyclable.

I love these body butters since they are capable of moisturizing my super dry skin. (Read my reviews on Mango, Satsuma, Cranberry Joy, and Chocomania. More to come!)

Last summer, I tried out the Olive Dry Oil Mist. The Olive Dry Oil Mist (on the leftmost side) was actually discontinued worldwide, but the demand for it here in the Philippines was so high that they had to bring it back just for us! You can't find this in The Body Shop stores in other countries.

The new Beautifying Oils come in 6 wonderful scents such as Shea, Olive, Moringa, Satsuma, Strawberry, and Chocomania. If you liked the Dry Oil Mist then you'd love these even more. The Beautifying Oils contain community fair trade marula nut oil, kukui nut oil, and sweet almond oil - so versatile as it can be used for your body, face, and hair. I know there are lots of people who are hesitant on using any kind of oil on their body (and face), but these oils are different. These are dry oils, in the sense that they're instantly absorbed into the skin to provide instant hydration with no sticky feel. And it smells so good! (Olive and Satsuma are their bestsellers, so do check these out!)

Drop by your nearest The Body Shop store for a free hand massage, so you could try out the new Beautifying Oils.

Another exciting product to watch out for are the new Body Mists with Community Fair Trade essence from sugarcane. It comes in Moringa, Strawberry, Pink Grapefruit, Shea, Coconut, Vanilla, Satsuma, and Mango. They'll be available in stores on June 15, 2012.

During the event, I got to spend time with fellow beauty bloggers Dawn from Peachy Pink Sisters and Shen from Shen's Addiction.

The night won't be complete without taking pictures with these lovely ladies from The Body Shop: Kat, Danica, and Jo-I. Thanks for always inviting me to your fun events! :)

With the Beauty with Heart campaign, The Body Shop aims to start a movement - one that makes us beautiful and at the same time has a positive impact to the world. They stand by their values: against animal testing (as all their products are 100% cruelty-free and 100% vegetarian), support community fair trade (by providing livelihood to small-scale farmers while obtaining high-quality ingredients for the products), activate self esteem (by choosing to enhance and not change one's natural beauty through their campaigns), defend human rights (like the Stop Sex Trafficking campaign), and protect the planet (by using minimal packaging and recycling).

As I was reading this month's issue of Cosmopolitan, I saw some The Body Shop features that are worth mentioning.

Speaking of Pulse boutiques, their SM Mall of Asia branch will be the first The Body Shop store in the Philippines to have a new look. (I can't wait to see how the new store concept would look like!)

And a beauty spread on the natural remedies for common skin problems, featuring products from The Body Shop.

When you support The Body Shop, you get to look good, feel good, and do good! Be a Beauty with Heart and help make the world a better place, one beauty product at a time.

Love,
Helen
