Rowena's Blueberry & Strawberry Cheese Tarts

My family and I seldom venture to the South, but when we do, we make sure to buy tarts from Rowena's as pasalubong. While Rowena's famous tarts come in buko, mango, apple, ube, and pineapple, my family prefers the cheesecake version of these delectable desserts. There's also a chocolate mousse tart, which I wish we bought. We hoarded boxes of their Blueberry Cheese Tart and Strawberry Cheese Tart on our trip going back to Manila.

While the Strawberry Cheese Tart looks so strikingly pretty (well, for me, because I love its bright red color), I prefer the taste of the Blueberry Cheese Tart more. These tarts are super scrumptious and served in small individual cups, which means no messy slicing required.

The outer part of the tart was firm but soft and easy to bite (unlike other hard tarts), so it holds the cream cheese well. These taste like small blueberry cheesecakes - absolutely delicious!

A box of 6 of these tarts costs about P180.00. You can also mix 3 pieces of blueberry and 3 pieces of strawberry for the same price. Drop by Rowena's the next time you go to Tagaytay and bring some of their yummy tarts home!

Love,
Helen

    1. We used to just buy buko only, until we tried this one. They also have choco mousse tart, which we weren't able to buy.
