Häagen-Dazs Fondue

I love chocolate fountain and fondue, and I wish I could have them everyday! Anything with chocolate can always put a smile on my face. Just today, I ate Selecta Cornetto's newest variant, White Chocolate, which is just LOVE. White Chocolate is so much better than vanilla. On some days I feel like indulging myself for some deliciously sinful yet heavenly treat, I head to Haagen Dazs. The first Fondue was from their store in SM Mall of Asia, and the second was from their store in SM Megamall (which I think is already closed).

The Fondue in SM Mall of Asia looked so perfect. Just look at the chocolate dip with that floral pattern! So pretty.

16 scoops of Haagen Dazs ice cream

Of course, this is my favorite thing to dip in the thick, hot chocolate sauce. Thin layers of warm chocolate solidify when they come into contact with these slow-melting ice cream balls. It comes in 4 delectable flavors: Macadamia, Strawberry, Cookies & Cream, and Coffee.

Cookies, chocolate wafer sticks, and marshmallows

This part made me a bit sad, because there was no brownie in it. Instead, there were cookies (which I think is Chips Ahoy, the local kind with less chips), Stik-O (could have been more fancy), and big mallows.

Fresh slices of kiwis, green apples, and bananas

This is the healthy part of the Fondue, but I only liked the bananas because I found the green apples and kiwi sour. However, I loved that the fruits were fresh, especially the crisp apples.

Hot pot of chocolate sauce

Dig in!

And here, some pictures of their SM Mall of Asia store. It's big and spacious, but open. I like that it's clean and quiet here.

This was the second Fondue that I had, this time with my family. We ordered this in SM Megamall, but note the differences between both Fondues:
  • Peaches instead of bananas and kiwi
  • Moist, chewy brownies instead of cookies
  • Chocolate sprinkles instead of nuts

With regards to the ingredients, we liked this version better than the Fondue served in SM Mall of Asia because we felt that they were more premium. (The chocolate flower in the dip of this one is not perfect though, and it contained less chocolate.) We liked their SM Mall of Asia branch's service better, because in their SM Megamall store, it took years and countless follow-ups before we were served water, even if there was no one in line.

Each order of Fondue is approximately P960.00 for dine in (service charge included). It's good for 3-4 people. Indulge!

Love,
Helen

  2. I would prefer brownies over mallows too :) You're lucky, everytime we pass by Haagen Dazs in MOA it's always full. Will try to go there when it's not the weekend. Haha!

    1. Oh my bad, it's supposed to be brownies over cookies. We went there on a Wednesday afternoon and had the place all to ourselves. :)

  7. I have tried eating ice cream from Haagen Dazs and the price was just ridiculously high. But the fondue seems to be more reasonable. I might give 'em another try..

    1. Hi, Vin! I'm not sure if they also have the same promo (like the eat all you can ice cream) like SM Megamall since I've been to their SM MOA branch once. I think their SM Megamall branch is already closed, because when we went there for this fondue, there was a notice at the door saying that they will be closed the next day, and that was February pa.
