Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Face Powder

I used to shun face powders because it made me break out. I had (and still have) oily skin, so I resorted to oil-control films. I needed a light to medium coverage for everyday wear, which my oil-control films could not provide. Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Face Powder has been a staple in my vanity kit ever since I discovered it way back in college. I can't count how many of this compact I've already used up!

Why I love it:

• It is fragrance-free, oil-free, and non-comedogenic.
• It comes in 4 shades. I like the Natural shade the most. It's not too white, too pink, or too yellow.
• It gives a light and natural-looking coverage.
• The finely-milled powder absorbs oil and does not leave your skin looking cakey.
• It is perfect and handy for your mid-day touch ups since it also comes with a mirror.
• The powder puff does not feel scratchy.

What I do not like about it:

• There are no refills of this powder being sold in the market. If you wish to repurchase, you'd have to keep on buying a new compact so it's not so good for the environment.

Tips:

• Use this alone to have a fresh, natural look. The coverage this powder provides can help even out your skin tone.
• Use this on top of tinted moisturizer or liquid foundation to set your makeup so it will last longer.
• Wash the powder puff at least once a week to keep it clean and to keep your skin clear. I wash my powder puff everytime I use it when I'm out. The puff dries easily (overnight) so you can use it in the morning.

Would I repurchase? Yes!
